“Good Alternative to Pub food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

We were looking for something that was not too expensive but also not pub food. Cafe Renoir was a really good option. Excellent pizza, chicken wings. Dinner with wine was less than 50 pounds. Easy walking distance from many of the hotels, epecially ones in the south end.

“Burnt burger but good service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2012

Got the burger and was disappointed at the charcoal piece of meat in my burger. the burger bap was also burnt. After i complained the staff were lovely and gave me a free meal. My friends also enjoyed their food, so perhaps I just got a bad burger. Would try again.

“Comfortable and tasty”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2012

The menu was good, with lots to choose from. The prices were not bad at all. We liked the food, although had expected more from the traybake dessert, which was a bit dry. Comfortable and cosy surroundings.

not wonderful food but good standard, good average place, value for money, I have never had to wait long to be served which is a big plus.

“Liked it so much we went twice!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2012

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Belfast and both times it was excellent. It is an old but attractive building with some outside seating but lots of room inside with two dining areas.

The first night we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us through to the restaurant area and we ordered beer whilst we perused the extensive menu. There were some really unusual dishes as well as regular dishes and a specials board too. Pizza is their specialty.

We chose blackened chicken which was chicken cooked in spices and served on a nicely dressed salad as well as a gourmet burger which was probably the nicest burger we have ever tasted, this came with fries and side salad.

On the second evening we went into the first seating area which seems to be more cafe style primarily for coffee and cake. They had a specials menu which offered two courses for £15 and it was excellent. We chose pizza crusts with dips to start and there was plenty of it and very filling. We also chose a pizza and spaghetti bolognaise and potato wedges. We couldn't eat it all so we asked if we could take it with us and they packed the pizza and wedges in a box for us.

Total bill with 2 beers was £21 which we thought was very good indeed.

The staff were lovely, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and you could see into the kitchen area which looked tidy and clean.
