Good choice of bars restraunts clubs but the main reason for our visit was to see the belfast giants, this was our first hockey game but by no means our last, a great family night out we combined our visit with a trip to W5 earlier in the day which is also located in the odyssey and equally enjoyable to 2 fun loving boys

as a family we had a great day out at the Odessey over Christmas. The management are hands on and customer focussed. W5 needs refreshed and the snowglobe wasnt working but the Red Panda was awesome. we enjoyed the bowling and the cinema-and will definitely return.

We go here almost every week in the winter to see the Belfast Giants, which is a night out that more people should experience. I would reckon we go to the O about 30 times a year, with concerts and shows added in.

The parking staff are poor however and have little idea of how to sort out the park, so best to take evasive action if you see anyone in yellow and head for the entrance/exit near the Lagan rather than park near the main entrance, where they try to get you to park. Exit at this barrier and you will avoid the gynormous queue to leave after the event is over.

The ticket machines are utterly hopeless and have been since Day 1. You need a degree in order to work them properly, unless you are a regular.

The other main gripe is the hand dryers in the toilets. Who on earth bought these? They come on for a nanosecond and then stop, that is if they work at all. One night recently had ONE working in the main toilet with the others all switched off at the mains. I have never seen a worse example of the art of hand drying in my life.

Apart from these things I have mentioned, the Odyssey is a great place to visit, especially for the Giants games which are the best night out in Belfast. The arena is comfortable and nicely heated, with great lines of sight for everyone.
