Excellent breakfast here, very good service with a smile, free wi-fi is a definite advantage. The decor is cool and it's much better on the inside than the outside looks.

On a recent visit to Belfast we saw the notice in Bishop's window stating "Voted Belfast's Best Fish and Chips 2011". The take away area only had a couple of customers but we waited 15+ minutes for our order of haddock suppers and mushy peas, wish we hadn't bothered. The batter was soggy and very greasy, the fish waxy and tasteless, not white and flaky as fish should be; the mushy peas a dried up solid mass, all so disgusting and the entire meal ended up in the bin. Bishop's need to stop trading on their previous reputation of 2011.

Read that this was a famous fish and chip shop so of course we walked 30 minutes to try this place. Ordered the fish & chips with mushy peas and soda. Extremely disappointed at the quality and did not think this place was even close to average. Definitely should've went somewhere else the crown pub which seems to have great food. Food looks better in pictures than what it actually taste like.

Clean and accommodating sit down fish n chip restaurant. We both had the haddock meal which was haddock and chips, peas or beans, two thick slices of bread and butter and tea or coffee all for a bargain £7.85! All the food was hot and tasty and the chips and fish were nice and crispy. No complaints at all really and for the price this is really excellent value for money.

We went along to Bishops restaurant on Friday evening not sure what to expect. Ordered 2 fish & chips and peas. When it arrived we were pleasantly suprised at the large cod with freshly made chips which we struggled to finish. Give them a try,you won't be disappointed.
