“Yummy yummy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012

After an exhausting day shopping , we popped in for a quick drink and snack... However the menu sounded lovely and ended up having lunch and pud .. The braised steak was to die for and the cauliflower purée was a lovely new experience for me ... Although the portions are fairly small, after a serving of Eton mess, I was very satisfied. Never had Eton mes before and it was delicious. All beautifully presented, in a lovely cosy modern bar. The service was fab too ! What more can I say ?? Would I go again ? OH YES !

“lovely meal, great staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2012

went in for a quick drink, but ended up having dinner.

For starters we had a selection of breads and tapenade's, then for our main we had a lovely sirloin steak with butter veg, my partner had the same but with garlic and rosemary roasties and shared a portion of onion rings and thrice cooked chips.

The service was great, served by two lovley ladies. Friendly atmosphere, would definately come back.

The address is perfect - a 'joy' to 'enter' :)

“A "Joy" to visit.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2012

This pub can be a little hard to find but definately worth it. We have been here a few times now and were never disappointed. It's situated in Joy's Entry [between High St and Ann St] in the hearth of Belfast. The staff are very friendly and insist on bring your drinks down to your table. The food is ample and delicious and better than the brunch in the 5 star Merchant Hotel. Seating is very comfortable with booths by the wall and a lovely snug also. Great bar to relax in and the food is top notch.

“Really enjoyed our lunch!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2012

We where on a walking tour of Belfast and my wife spotted a sign on High Street for mcCrackens with its menu advertised. I was very happy she did as we had a superb lunch here I had chowder which was rich in flavour and plenty of fish in it. My wife had a dish from.he specials which was crispy chilli beef and noodles and I forget the other ingredient but it was beautiful and a great portion too. Very good value for money. We will be back!!
