“Excellent theatre and varied programme”
Reviewed November 7, 2013

Attend the theatre regularly. Very pleasant surroundings, helpful staff and good theatre facilities. Programme does be varied so there should be something to suit most people at some time.

“Great theatre”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

The programme in this theatre is innovative but also has the traditional plays included.

The restaurant has a great view over the River Lagan. The food freshly prepared. A good place for Sunday brunch.

“Nice acoustics”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

First time I've been in such a modern theatre and was a little apprehensive as prefer traditional places ie old and weathered.
Take it back after this visit. Whole experience was pleasant and thought the acoustics were superb - every word was clear as a bell. Would recommend eveything about it apart from the drink prices which were a little steep. No complaints though.

Hi Paul. Thank you for your wonderful review.

We're really pleased you were impressed by the new theatre and in particular, the acoustics. Being primarily a "drama house", the acoustics were of the highest priority for us and our architect and acoustic engineers worked incredibly hard to get it right.

We're sorry you felt the drink prices were a little steep. We appreciate that a visit to the theatre can be expensive and we try to keep our drinks competitively priced against local bars and similar establishments. We're glad it didn't spoil your evening.

“Good times”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

Saw 'Waiting for Godot' last evening and this was a great theatre experience. The production was both professional and interesting. This was our first time in the new theatre and it was a positive experience. Have to admit to a bit of nostalgia though - thinking of the old theatre and practically sitting on top of the actors! Staff were attentive and courteous. Sweets and ice cream maybe a little over-priced - but that's par for the course in these places. I thought the space for each seat was adequate, sound and lighting effects excellent. I look forward to returning many more times.

Great to hear you had a good experience at the Lyric. We wholly agree with your comments about Waiting for Godot. We were proud to be hosting the highlights of the Belfast Festival this year, which had a real international flavour about them, and we believe the Lyric Theatre is perfect for touring work of this type.

We were sorry to hear your comments about the concessions at our kiosk and we are currently reviewing our prices in this regard.

Hope to see you again soon at the Lyric.
