The award winning building is built in traditional Belfast red brick, glass and iroko wood and the cafe bar offer beautiful views over the River Lagan and Stranmillis Embankment. The theatre is open seven days a week with performances usually running in the evenings from Tuesday through to Saturday and matinees on Saturday and Sundays. Contact our box office for more details or check online under "What's On". Our cafe serves coffee/tea and light lunches and is open every day. A brunch menu is available on Sunday mornings. As well theatrical productions, we also offer backstage tours, a programme of theatre school and professional learning and corporate hospitality. Pre-theatre dining is available on Friday and Saturday evenings. Free Wifi is availble

The theatre shows important plays, including Irish and British classics, in a brand-new building that replaced earlier ones. The prices are very reasonable in comparison to Broadway prices and the quality of the presentations is first rate.

From the moment I picked up tickets from the box office - everything about this theatre is excellent. The staff are helpful and are proud to be working at such a wonderful new theatre. The seats are comfortable and the play was well staged and really funny a great evenings entertainment. Excellent value for money.

Newly built this place is set very near the River Lagan with a nice viewing area to have a drink before, during and after a performance. Have been a few times now seeing plays and I am not a theatrical person but GO AND DO IT ONCE ! You will go again.

The new building gives a bright, modern feel to the foyer areas but without losing that closeness in the main theatre that the Lyric always had.

The all new purpose built building was very much worth waiting on. The actual theatre is great as well. Only problem, very little leg room available.
