“Drink more eat less”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

Went on a Sunday and only had Bar snacks - would have been better if we got to access the restaurant. Although as i live close by i do find that it does a nice pint or a cocktail :) nice pub for a drink but food isnt up to much!

“Not for me ........”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

I really used to enjoy Horatio Todds for a mid week meal or calling in at the weekend for a cocktail. Went on Saturday night and thought it was dire, have to agree with the comments of a rough crowd spoiling what used to be a great local spot for a good night out. Cougar grannies and aggresive guys you would not want to que beside never mind chat too !!!

Bar staff seem overworked stressed and generally unhappy dont blame them when you see what the type of clientele they are dealing with. Such a pity as its so central but defo will not be returning at the weekend.

“Top Notch!!”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

I visited Horatio Todds to enjoy a meal and a night out with my work colleagues yesterday evening. We were promptly shown to our seats even though we were slightly early and provided with menus and some jugs of iced water. The restaurant and bar were very busy and the place had a great atmosphere about it. Our main course was superb and the desserts even better, our service was attentive and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. I would highly recommend dining here and cant wait to go back again to try another dish as everything on the menu sounded delicious and the waiting staff really provided the personal touch.

“Excellent exciting food, great service, pleasant atmosphere at a reasonable cost.”
Reviewed June 30, 2013 via mobile

I went to Horatio Todd's for lunch yesterday with friends. It was surprised that it was so busy on a Saturday lunchtime but soon realised why! We were greeted like favoured guests and quickly found an excellent table by a pleasant and friendly waitress. Drinks order taken and delivered quickly the menu containing refreshing seasonal dishes was expertly described. The food arrived quickly and it was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Try the breads (restaurant freshly baked) and oils and olives etc. which were simply delicious. My main - chicken gougons was served with a light fresh salad and a tasty dip. The rosemary and Parmesan fries which accompanied the meal were fragrant and extremely tasty. A great twist on the standard garlic or sweet chilly fries that are now slightly boring. The meal was rounded off with a great cup of coffee. I must admit that it is a long time since I have experienced such a pleasant tasty lunch with such an impressive service. The chefs and waiting staff obviously know their business and I now know why this restaurant is so busy. A gem of a place.
