“A great place for lunch or coffee/tea”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013

The coffee shop and restaurant at the Avoca shop in Arthur Street, just off Cornmarket, is a great place to enjoy good home made food in relaxed surroundings. It is generally very busy so best to avoid peak times, there are plenty of locals use it so you will find a warm welcome with the usual Belfast banter.

“Yummy yummy”

I can't get enough of this place it never fails me. The staff are friendly & efficient. Which at times can be a struggle as the place is always jam packed.
Their scramble egg breakfast is Devine & a favourite of mine.
Can't recommend enough !!!

“Visit to Avoca for cake and tea.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

I visited Avoca for tea and cake late on friday afternoon 23/01/13. The Blonde haired waitress who served me was EXTREMELY helpful in helping me select cake i had which tasted absolutely gorgeous. This waitress was very pleasant in every way. Then when i was leaving the manager michael introduced himself to me and gave me some complimentary scones. He was also extremely helpful and friendly.

Avoca itself is an absolutely gorgeous store and the experience i had in the cafe was great. I will most definitely be returning to Avoca.

“My girls just love the chicken and broccoli bake”

Great fresh food and good portions. It is bizarre that this place works since it looks like a canteen and the queues are long at lunchtime but I guess the proof of the pudding......( and everything else)!
