The food was below average. Just about every dish contained pork right down to the mash potatoes which had bits of bacon in it – thereby limiting your choice if that’s not your preferred option. On the night that we were there, the restaurant worked on a two seating basis and we felt very rushed. The staff were rude, abrupt and seemed to be disinterested in customers. The website mentions that the restaurant is housed in a converted Victorian stable, which does create the impression that some of that period charm would be extended to the inside of the restaurant – we sat in the upstairs area – the interior reflects nothing of the history associated with the exterior. All in all – a disappointing experience and I would not recommend this restaurant.
