Owner description: Susie Millar and Titanic Tours Belfast offers your the opportunity to visit the key sites in the history of the construction and launch of the greatest liner ever built in Belfast - Titanic, from the luxury of a VIP configured Mercedes MPV. We operate all year round. Your tour is conducted by broadcaster & journalist Susie Millar, the great-granddaughter of Thomas Millar, who worked in Harland & Wolff on the construction of Titanic & then sailed onboard her as an engineer on the fateful maiden voyage to New York in April 1912.

Susie Millar has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the history of the building of the Titanic, and an intimate knowledge of the people that built this iconic ship including her Great Grandfather, Tommy Millar, who sailed on board her as an engineer on that fateful voyage in 1912.

Susie has a warm and engaging personality which brings the tour to life in so many ways and in so many places, with unrivalled access to sites which other tours do not have. Susie's tour gives you a great insight of the hardship of being a shipyard worker in Belfast in the early 1900's, the homes where they lived, their families and their pride in being part of the legend of the Titanic.

'The Two Pennies' a fascinating and poignant book written by Susie, details the life of her Great Grandfather and the two pennies he gave his two children before he sailed on that fateful voyage, to start a new life with the White Star Line in New York, from which he never returned.

If you are thinking of coming to Belfast, Susie’s Millar's tour is an absolute must, and if you are considering the Titanic Exhibition then take her tour beforehand to give you a real appreciation of the Titanic legend.

Susie had a previous career as a highly acclaimed television journalist with an unrivalled knowledge of Ulster, its history and people and she will also guide you on personalised tours to some of the most beautiful parts of the province. We chose her wonderful day tour of the North and West coast which was a superb ending to or short break in Northern Ireland.

Yes, as a previous reviewer said, Susie Millar is indeed a National Treasure.

We were fortunate to be able to have the opportunity to visit Belfast with the help of Susie Millar. I cannot praise her tour enough. Not only did she have extensive knowledge of the Titanic, she was good enough to tell us and allow us to visit other places within the city.

I can only say that if there were other guides out there as good as Susie then we all would be queuing to take up the offer.

Well done Susie.

Susie gave myself and partner an extremely absorbing and enjoyable tour, taking us from street to street and city to docks, able to answer any questions we had in as much detail as we wanted.

We enjoyed seeing places that you'd otherwise not give a second's glance if you weren't aware of the historical significance, and that would doubtless apply to almost all overseas visitors. Belfast is a vibrant and fascinating place sure enough but drill down into the history, recalled by such a well-versed and knowledgeable historian, and it opens your eyes to entire new levels.

Susies pleasant and easy-going personality would suit any crowd, young or old. We came away so glad that we had decided on Susie's Titanic tour, considerably enlightened by the experience.

Sieze the opportunity while you're there. You would be well-advised not to miss it.

terrific interactive experience, which is taken at your own pace. plenty of background reading as well as the journey through the simulated shipyard. Then finishes with the tragic loss of the ship and a reaslly good social history around the same.

Ms. Millar is an excellent guide. She is related to one of the men who built the Titanic and went down with her. She is also extremely well informed about the Belfast of 1912 generally. I learned a lot from the time our small group spent with her.
