Very happy with my one night stay here at Ibis Belfast Queens Quarter. Ibis is not a luxurious brand but you can always count on it to produce consistently comfortable accommodation. About 15 mins walk from Belfast city centre at most, and located in the attractive Queen's University part of town. The food was quite good too. Recommended.

Good value for price paid, even able to order pizza when came back from show at 11.30pm. Bed was quite hard but considering cost wasn't expecting too much. Did get a slight smell in lift and entering bedroom but went when opened window for short time Late check out 12pm was good.

The hotel is in Queen's Quarter, which is right in the middle of the Queen's University area. Less than a five minute walk away is a long road of shops and places to eat (loads of coffee houses!) It's about a ten-fifteen minute walk to the city centre, but it's a really nice walk, passing lots of interesting, quirky shops and such. The only downside to the Ibis is that the walls are quite thin, and we could hear our neighbors coming in at all hours. But the service was great and the room spotless. You'll need to ask for extra pillows, as the ones on the bed are about an inch thick. We didn't eat in the hotel, as there were so many great places literally around the corner. (Don't miss Boojum, a Mexican restaurant a few minutes from the hotel. The food is amazing.)

Was a little hard to find, but when we arrived the guy on reception was very polite and explained everything to us and where everything was in the hotel. Are room was very spacious and nice and warm. Just what we wanted after flying into all the snow. The room and bathroom was very clean. Even on are second night there was no problem in getting some plates and knives and forks so we could eat are own food in are room.

We arrived really early to book into the room (10am) and I was expecting to have to leave the bags and go for a walk around until check in time but this wasn't a problem as the lad on reception said they had a couple of rooms ready o we could just go on in, it's not a problem. What a pleasant change.

The first night/morning was a little noisy with people coming back from a night out and I had to get up at 7am to inform the person knocking on my door that this wasn't the persons room that they were looking for but I suppose this happens and it's not the hotels fault.

Every now and then we got a "drains" smell from the bathroom but not enough to warrant a complaint as it was intermittent.

The location is fine, about a 10 - 15min, easy walk to Belfast City Hall. It's in the student area so there are going to be students and everything that comes with that but for the price we paid I was more than happy with it.

If you're the sort of person that spends hours on end in your hotel room instead of being out and about then I would disregard this review.

All in all a nice stay for the price we paid.

We had to change our room three times, first time smell of smoke, second smell of damp, so third was ok. Rooms are substandard. We were complemented with a free breakfast for the inconvenience but even at this, the breakfast wasn't great! There are plenty of other hotels....no need to book here even if it was the cheapest going!!

Room Tip: Just don't book here!!!

Located few meters away from the university, this hotel has quite good rooms with a little bathroom, but the shower has enough space to make you confortable during the shower. everything is clean and the wifi is free, but you have to ask the receptionist for the pass code. for sure this place worth the price that you pay.
