“A trip back in time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

It would be a mistake if you visited the Titanic Experience and did not take this tour. Our guides passion for the Titanic was so motivating that even in 3 degrees and rain, I could not wait to see what was next on the tour. The most surreal experience was going down into the dry dock that last held the Titanic and touching the huge steel doors made of the same metal used on the Titanic. Visiting the drydock without a guide is a huge mistake.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

We only had 1 night in Belfast and decided to visit both the museum and then do the walking tour.Museum was good, the walking tour was brilliant. There were only 4 of us in the group - range 14 years to 50's. It was so interesting and the guide superb - the hour and a half whizzed by and brought to life the history of the Titanic. I would definitely go again as I gather each tour talk varies slightly.

“Titanic walking tour - excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

Did the tour on monday 18th Feb 2013, our guide Helen was excellent, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I would recommend this tour to anyone, we went to the slipways, HMS Caroline, the pump house and the dry dock. Throughout this Helen showed us photos of then and now and provided background information for each site. A must do !

“Interesting and worthwhile”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

Good experience for anyone interested in the history of Titanic or industrial heritage in general. It is advertised as taking an hour and a half which was spot on. Starts outside the main entrance to the Titanic Belfast centre. As the name implies, it does involve a lot of walking, and also climbing down and then up quite a lot of stairs, so you need to be fairly fit. Takes in the H&W drawing offices, the slipways where Titanic and Olympic were laid down, the enormous dry dock where they were finished and finally the pump house for the dock which is an attraction in its own right. Our guide Claire was well informed and made the whole thing very interesting. I certainly found it much more engaging than the (IMHO) over-hyped Titanic Belfast, which I visited last year, since you get to see the real locations that have such strong connections to Titanic and her sister ships. A slight disappointment was that we only got to see the drawing offices by looking through the windows, which any passer-by can do. But still, we did get all of the background information on them and about the history of H&W which was very worthwhile.
Ends up at the Pump House which has a cafe, which was very welcome as it was a cold and windy day.
Recommended.

“Titanic walking tour”

We had a relatively new guide called Claire who took us on our tour. She was fantastic and was so enthusiastic and very informative. The walking tour was much better than the museum. Definitely to be recommended. We did the tour on Sunday 17th Feb
