“Pricey enough but worth it”

Went on Friday night, chilli tikka masala and pilau rice: super hot and super nice. Chicken cooked to perfection, tender and not too dry, while the sauce had plenty of kick. Washed down with a couple of Cobra and a complimentary round of flaming Sambuca. Service is always very good too.

“Mediocre”
Reviewed April 19, 2014 via mobile

Tried this restaurant (Ormeau Road) for the first time on a Wednesday night recently and am sorry to say I won't be rushing back.
I had the 'special offer' of main course and glass of wine for £11.95 (not exactly cheap!) and was not impressed. the 'pilau rice' portion was far too small and it was full of strange pieces of artificially coloured who-knows-what. The korma sauce was very runny and also looked artificially coloured. And the wine, though served in a huge glass, was only a couple of mouthfuls!
On the plus side, the hot towel at the end was a nice touch and the staff were OK, except for one older gentleman who was unsmiling and a bit abrupt.

“Best meal in Belfast to date and I eat out in Belfast a lot!”
Reviewed April 13, 2014

Chefs special lamp cutlets are fantastic the marinade is superb I gave my partner two of them because I wanted half of his king prawn madrass I was sorry to part with them but the king prawn dish was on a power with the lamb. Mopping up the madras and tark a dhal with the peshwari nan finished off the meal beautifully not to mention the great btl of pino Matua that complimented the meal perfectly. Can't wait to go back. Staff work hard to make the experience a memorable one.

“Superb food and service”
Reviewed April 12, 2014

The food and service is always a cut above a typical Indian. The staff are knowledgeable and can generally offer some good advice on any dishes that are a little unfamiliar. A nice touch is that we have always been offered a drink on the house to finish off a very enjoyable evening.
