This bar is excellent for cocktails and small meals/snacks. We spent a lovely evening catching up with friends and drinking fabulous cocktails in here. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome even though we were not staying in the hotel. Although it was a little pricey, it was worth it and I would definitely come here again.

So, having arrived on time for the reservation, we were whisked into a darkened, moody room with tables slightly too close together but furnished as I expected, an emotive Jazz Bar.
Drinks were quickly ordered and served with a discreet disclosure of cocktails by the warm and friendly staff.
The wine waiter floated by and made a welcome hint for a wine to accompany the Chateaubriand for two.
As the French Onion soup dissapeared in the hands of the almost invisible waiting staff, the spectacle that is the Chateaubriand appeared on the platter.
We'd been advised that the Chef would only present this dish at Medium Rare which horrified me as I prefer well done. Now I can say I'm a convert to Medium Rare. It was delectably delicious and tender, smokey with a hint of pepper and salt, only to be spotlighted by either a tangy Bearnaise sauce or a sharp creamy Pepper sauce, both served on the side.
As the evening blissfully wafted on, the desserts magically appeared and not surprisingly, dissapeared, a sweet swan song for an evening not yet over.
About this time, the music started drifting across from a very talented Jazz Band, the smokey music gradually rose from a slow and lazy Jazz tempo, to a "foot stomping New Orleans night" .... closing our eyes for a sec' ....... it was back in London's Ronnie Scott's Jazz Bar !!!!
The dark and mysterious lighting, the stark silhouette murals, shaded lamps, vocals reaching to your heart ....... oh what a night, and in Belfast too.
Yes a special night and a preview of more visits.
Try it, its a special night and is a marker that we're Backin' Belfast ..........
Enjoy

One of the most enjoyable bar in town! Ask for the bartender for suggestions...you won't be disappointed :-)

Enjoyed the brie focaccia washed down with a few mojitos beside the fire, a lovely setting for a quiet chat.

Fabulous food and cocktails. The chateaubriand is the best I've ever tasted, it will melt in your mouth!
