Description: No 27 Talbot Street in Belfast is a contemporary brasserie-style restaurant serving innovative modern Irish cuisine. The dining room – with steel grey carpet, black leather chairs and colourful artworks – is busy with a fashionable, professional crowd and is a popular place for dates and intimate celebrations. Joint Head Chefs Alan Higginson and Jason Moore both have stellar credentials, and together they have created a bold and unpretentious menu. Favourites dishes at No 27 include the honey roast ham shank with mash, savoy cabbage, bell peppers and tarragon jus; the rib eye steak with chips, blue cheese, walnuts and port jus; and the delicious date and sultana sponge pudding with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream.

“lovely food but portions a bit small”

went for a lunchtime menu and wasn't impressed with portion size, my meal was bordering on cold and vegetarian options very limited, just the usual green salad

“Busy but good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2012

Were able to get a table on a Friday night and we had a delicious meal. Service was alright and some "team" members were more attentive than others, but the food stole the show.

“Horrendeous - we really wish we had not bothered”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2012 via mobile

We went to no27 with great anticipation. We were using a living social voucher, and we were presented with the most un-inspiring menu by uninterested staff. The place was dead, but the staff seemed more interested in their own conversation than looking after the guests. The "special" living social menu was not mentioned at the time of booking, and we were advised there was no option available to pay a supplement for food on the "normal" menu.

We will never be back, and would highly recommend you carefully consider not paying any money to visit here - there are so many better options in Belfast. We wish we hadn't bothered and have never ever experienced such disappointment in an eating experience.

“Good food, lovely decor”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2012

Smart arty decor. Good atmosphere. Attended with girlies for lunch using a living social voucher. Food was good but not great. Think I would like to return for dinner as I feel the menu had more to offer. Art displayed throughout the restaurant which is also for sale. Good talking point for customers.
