I've stayed here a few times with work. The rooms are clean and well furnished. The food is incredibly disappointing for a hotel of this standard - poor choice, expensive and tasteless.

Breakfast is buffet style and the food tends to be luke warm.

Staff are great and really friendly. Will continue to stay here but eat elsewhere which is a shame because when you've had a long day the last thing you really want to do is go out for food

Overall the hotel was average this time. I have stayed with this chain in other hotels and been very impressed. On he positive, the hotel staff are very friendly, lots of good choice in the pub and grill, the rooms have very quick free wifi and parking is plentiful and free. On the down side I was booked for a double room through a booking agency and was only give a twin room, when asked if I could change to a double was told the hotel was fully booked. I took this a the truth but did question again when a breakfast there were only 5 people there at 'peak time'. The major issue was the reaction by the hotel to a series of power failures during the evening which resulted in no hot water in the hotel in the morning. No engineers were called until he morning to fix the issue! Not sure if I would go back.

This was an OK hotel but my expectations were a little higher. Service was OK and the room was alright but the bathroom a little tired - not unclean but just looked like it needed a bit of an overhaul.

Lifts a bit dodgy so if you are a bit cautious of lifts (as I am) ask for a lower level room and take the stairs. The lift stopped for a little while between floors- soon sorted without any alarm but not a great experience.

I only stayed here for one night and unfortunately didn't sample the pool which did look great.

Breakfast was good. Standard breakfast with enough choice.

Good location- nearby there are some good eateries by the harbour- a 10 minute stroll away and not too far from the city centre.

This is an OK hotel- nothing remarkable about it during my short stay- yet nothing exceptional.... just OK.

Room Tip: Ask for a harbour facing room- the alternative seems to be quite a busy road. If you are cautious ab...

I'll be brief - went for a meal here whilst on a working weekend, took along my good lady - and wished we had not crossed the Welsh Border, not a great advert for service, quality or good manners - on a not so busy night it took 40mins to order our meal, and 1 minute to find out that the Rib Eye Special was not even Rib Eye! Poor beyond belief (Decor was nice tho',,,)
Eat here if you don't know any better.
