“amazing!”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

We just had our first family stay at Nicholaston Farm and it was amazing. Firstly we made the fatal mistake of following the sat nav and got stuck and after one quick telephone call they kindly sent 2 fantastic men and a huge tractor to our rescue. The facilities on site was very well maintained and extremely clean and the views were breathtaking. We then took a walk to the beach and came across a huge rope swing, not sure who had more fun the kids or us! When we finally made it to the beach it was fantastic. Massive thank you to all at Nicholaston Farm for making our stay for welcoming xx

Really enjoyed our stay here in the lower field. The site was well kept and quiet. The bathrooms were great especially if you are accompanied by a young child - plenty of room for you both without getting your clothes wet. They were clean whenever we went in and we didn't have to queue. The walk back from the beach through the woods was a bit much for our six year old so we drove to the beach the second day. We had breakfast at the cafe before leaving - food and service was spot on. Would definitely go back.

Just brilliant! Second year we have visited with other families in a group. We camp. 'Pitch where you see a space,' suits us. Amazing views of the sea. Three fields: two for tents. Last year we were in the further field and slightly preferred this over the one closer to the cafe as you can cycle down and back to the shower/loo block. The closer field has a sleep uphill to it and call us lazy, we all found the schlep down to the loos on foot a bit of a pain. Lovely people, great shop and they do a tasty breakfast as well as stocking staples. Best loos/showers are in the caravan field but all loos are well cleaned and stocked with loo roll. Terrific showers. Walk to beach is worth it and necessary if you eat too much on holiday like we do! We will return next August!

Tent- camping. there appeared to be 3 fields to pitch on, we were allocated the field behind the cafe. although the best views were to be seen from the 'caravan' field, although i did see tents pitched on there. the toilet facilities were very good, with a family shower/ toilet. the cafe and fresh produce (milk, fruit, bacon etc) was brilliant. very reasonably priced!! full breakfasts i think was from £3.90 ish??? and from the shop- packets of bacon or sausages from £1.49! lovely walk through the woods to the beach. we had a dog with us and i'm always conscious of where i can take her to the toilet without making it offensive for other campers, and just outside the campsite there are a couple of walks through the woods where we could let her off lead and a dog bin is situated next to the start of these walks. the only thing that put me off this campsite was the amount of wasps, i appreciate it's 'that time of year' although the second campsite we stayed at (after this campsite) I didn't see one! overall very pleasant campsite.

just stayed on sunday at your site.  i think it may be the cleanest and best maintained site i have ever stayed at and your staff are always friendly and welcoming. there is a gorgeous sandy beach you can walk to which is not busy. you can also walk to three cliffs at low tide

Room Tip: location is great for access to south gower

this is one of the best campsites we have ever been to and the toilet and shower facilities are the best and cleanest we have seem in more than 25 years of camping both here and in Europe. The campsite itself was well run and the staff very helpful. the views are great and access to the beach was a bit of a climb back but worth it for the peace and quiet of the beach as the only people on that part of the bay are from the campsite. The site is quiet from 10pm so great for families. The only negative thing I can say about the site is the pitches are on a slope not great for those camping but the breakfast in the cafe made up for sleeping on a slope.

Stayed for 5 nights in August. Arrived on a wet Saturday, but the pitch we chose on the lower field was dry enough. We are early risers, so had no problems with getting in the showers or toilets- the caravan field ones are slightly nicer as they are used by less people, just make sure you have enough 20p pieces. Given that the site was full, the facilities were as clean as could be expected. We didn't use the cafe but saw plenty of happy customers at breakfast time. The beach path is a bit of a trek, especially on the way back up, but means that it is quieter than most of the other beaches. Overall, great place, easy to get to other places in the area, would definitely go back.
