“poor food, attentive service but slow and that happy birthday cassette”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

came here for a meal while visiting swansea chose here as it had such a good customer review on tripadvisor, we were sat next to a very loud group of men which kinda killed the vibe. started of with poppadom's which were okay but i wasnt too sure about this green coconut creation.
the starts followed which were disappointing; rather greasy, bland and boring.
Just from the sight of the mains you knew you were not going to be in for a mind blowing curry, that will excite your taste-buds. what arrived instead of my high anticipated jalfrezi was a bowl of cream of tomato soup, infused with copious amounts of chili powder garnished with a few bits of cindered chicken and a tomato hacked into a sorry looking rose. As for the tika masala it was more enhanced with vibrant colourings than an essex girls fake tan.
i could soon see why the prices were so cheap.
the service was friendly but was slow and often took several times of asking before we started seeing a response.
i was really looking forward to great meal, the best curry that swansea has to offer! i left feeling disappointed and deprived of my fill of a good curry.
lastly please loose that laborious happy birthday cassette adding to the TGI Fridays feel.

“EXCELLENT INDIAN RESTAURANT - COULDN'T FAULT IT”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

Went with a large crowd (Dave Norths party) on a Saturday night. As there were about 30 of us I didn't expect too much as its difficult catering for so many at one time, but boy was I wrong! Service was superb and the food outstanding.... loads of choice, and some English food for those that didn't like curries. The bill was so reasonable, two courses with rice and pompadoms came in at about £15.... drinks were very reasonable as well and the house white wine was great. My only niggle was that it took a while before they took our order, but then I found out that it was because they had been asked to hold on as we were waiting for three more guests - who never turned up or had the courtesy to say they were not coming, so not the restaurants fault at all. I understand as well they do a pre-theatre meal which is great as its right opposite the Grand Theatre. Superb.

“Consistently excellent”

Well cooked, tasty and piping hot grub at great value with great service. What more do you need?
Been here loads of times and is consistently brilliant. Jazz and the staff give a helpful and friendly service and can't do enough for you. The very few snobbish negatives they do get really bug me about authentic and original blablabla! Get on a plane and go to Mumbai or Delhi if that's what you want.

Peace.

Lovely meal that was so cheap I thought they had under charged me. Near the theatre so good if you want to catch a play. Also very friendly staff.

Thought we would try it as we were going to the grand and it was just across the road . What a great choice . The service was first class and I ordered my favorite dish which wasnt on the menu but it was no trouble for them to make it and I wasnt dissapointed, superb food and decent prices . Will definitely be back for more .
