“Good facilities, quite small rooms”
Reviewed December 6, 2013

Efficient check in and showed to our room in the Town houses across the street. Very clean and modern room but it did seem to lack space. Mini bar and coffee making facilities in a limited size wardrobe, new one on me. Personal view is that all the same facilities on offer in the main hotel are on offer in the town houses like trouser presses and room service.
We returned to the hotel in the afternoon and the main bar area was like a hen/ stag party which I did not expect in this sort of establishment.

Lovely boutique hotel providing very good value for money. Service excellent and very friendly. Restaurant food fresh and delightful. Location excellent though slightly compromised by such close proximity to Wine Street and swamped by non-residents. Needs something like a residents bar for an occasional bit of peace and quiet!

We stayed in the Town Houses across the road from the main building and they were well equipped, the beds were comfortable, it was very clean and it had a beautiful bathroom. I was impressed with the soaps and hand wash all over the hotel it was "Molton Brown" in all the dispensers. I usually use my own soap but didn't have to there.
We went to a friends wedding last year, and the meals were excellent and the breakfast room was nicely set out in the morning with plenty of choice.
Before leaving we went for a stroll around the area this was a nice walk to blow the cobwebs away before heading home, we were never rushed to vacate the room.
after arriving home we have had emails from them with offers, which we find is handy to know.
I will certainly go back there as it is first class accomadation.

Room Tip: We didn't have a ground floor room as it is in the centre of town and I would imagine it could b...

what a wonderful hotel.. We stayed in the Townhouse, just across the street from the main hotel. We had a beautiful room with a four poster bed and top quality furnishings and fittings. The bar and ambience in Morgans is first class

Came down to Swansea for a family event. I knew the area well, therefore chose hotel for location, but also other reviews. The hotel is excellent. Its a building of character, but has been sympathetically preserved. So as the previous Maritime Centre, its has large open rooms, detailed plasterwork, wood panelling and stained glass windows. That all adds to the ambiance of the place. Reception was polite and informative, we arrived at 1pm and our room was ready. Checking normally 3 pm. Car parking is in a barrier protected front car park. Our room 'Harve' was in the separate Townhouse. Just short, porter accompanied, walk across a quiet road. Room was clean, bright, and practical. Mini bar, tea and coffee, safe, large flat screen TV and free WiFi. Bed was soft to medium firmness. The bathroom was great. Large quick fill bath and separate double rose shower cubicle. Dressing gowns included as well, and Molton Brown products. Perhaps a guide on how to use the air conditioning unit to give heating would help, but we figured it out! Given a City Centre location, and it being a Saturday night, the hotel opened up a residents bar off the main bar. Great for a bit more peace and quiet, and a nice touch. Breakfast was in another large traditional room. Great choice and well cooked.

Room Tip: Only stayed in our room, but from the web site all looked good.

I booked a 60th Wedding Anniversary Sparkling Tea for my parents at this hotel. They were very busy on the day and I did book at short notice, but we had the best of welcomes. I visited earlier to bring a cake, cards, balloons and banners and they were very accommodating offering a cake stand etc. I did not realise that tea/coffee was not provided with the 'sparkling tea' but they were happy to provide this for an extra charge. We did wait a while for our food as they had a very busy lunch but due to the delay they did not charge us the extra for our tea. We booked a photographer and we did cause some disruption but the guests and staff were more than accommodating!
