We had dinner in this resturant on a sunday evening. It' s tastefully decorated, very stylish and colourful.

The menu is different from most indian resturants which is what makes this place special . If you are looking for traditional indian food with the ability to ask for anything you fancy - rather than your standard kormas and madras - this is the place to be! So refreshing to have this style of cooking and the feel that you are trying traditional indian cusine.

Reasonably priced with great staff - really enjoyable!

Title says all really, they don't have a buffet normally (sundays etc) but after my husband & I went through plans with them, they offered us the party buffet service. We were relieved - our pockets also!

We go for drinks & eat here quite often, nothings overpriced & we always enjoy, I just had to rate 4* for value as I think they'd being doing a lot for themselves and of course customers if they offered the buffet service on a regular basis-maybe once a week.

Will not be going back here.....ordered poppadoms which were cold and very soft, probably been sitting in the kitchen for ages! We were a small party of 5, and the only good meal was the Ruby Murray. Chicken Tikka didn't look or taste like chicken OR tikka! It was a Thursday evening and we were the only table there....this should have set the alarm bells going! The actual furnishings are really attractive and different, the waiter didn't seem to know what was on the menu, but was quite pleasant and polite though. Sorry Ice and Fire you've let yourselves down. You are in a prime location but 'could do better'!

Our evening at Ice and Fire was a bit of a mixed bag...

Admittedly it was late on a Saturday night, but the live "music" was an absolute train wreck. The singing was so bad and loud I thought it was a joke at first.

Once we had sat down, the waiter was impatient and a bit rude at times, but with a splash of humor which would have made that aspect vaguely tolerable, had he come back to offer further drinks etc but we were ignored a bit and it was empty.

Positive points were that the curries were excellent and the rice was delicious but the kebab starters were extremely tough and dry.

That said, the decor is quirky and cool, but the restaurant is lit up like Blackpool Illuminations...dimmer switches would be a good idea / mood lighting.

The front bar area has a massive window which makes you feel like you are on display in a goldfish bowl - maybe some frost edging on the windows or some big plants would break it up a bit?

All in all its great value, a nice menu in a good location but needs refinement to avoid becoming run of the mill.
