Review of Llangennith Beach

Let me point out from the start that this is a beach that you can take your dog to.

It is a wonderful beach, with soft sand, good access, facilities and 'in season' has life guards.
It forms part of a much bigger bay and so can cope with a considerable number of people.
There is camp and caravan sites with full facilities. There is a well stocked shop and a very good coffee shop serving hot meals from the kitchen.
£3 fee for entry to the car park. They do not allow bookings for the campsite.

Thank Roger H

Been going to Llangennith for years and every time is fantastic. One of the best views in the world and something for everyone - dunes, sand, sea, fishing and hopefully some sun. Great food in the cafe and friendly service at all times.

I just love this stretch of coastline. from Rhosilli to peaks. Llangennith lays in the middle and is the area of this beach i mainly use. its very rare to find somewhere in the UK so beautiful and especially if you can visit during the summer and get to witness the amazing sunset here. The water is also surprisingly clean and i usually visit this beach to surf several times a week (if there is actually any surf).. The only downside to this location is that if you are driving and parking in hillend car park they charge up to £3, you can purchase a yearly pass for around £50. however £3 i feel is very little to pay for the experience of visiting this beach. its great for long walks, fishing, swimming, bathing, and of course Surfing! if you haven't already visited this beach then add it to your bucket list...

This beach has always been a huge favourite with me as I grew up in Swansea. Now every time I visit the UK I go there. It is a world away from the industrial areas of South Wales as it's a wide, pristine beach which offers a "back to nature" experience. A great spot for walks, bird watching, fishing, swimming and the waves are a big enticement for surfers. The southern end of the beach is the Worm's Head which is also worth a visit. This part of the Gower Peninsula is such an amazing part of South Wales. Put this on your list of places to visit for sure.

Great place to visit in South Wales, all water sports on offer. Take time to visit PJ in pj's surf shop, and have a drink in the kings head. Lots of places to walk, and plenty of beach to relax on. Great for surfing/body boarding.
