“Fantastic holiday cottage”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Arrived after a long drive from Cumbria to this immaculate cottage, in beautiful surroundings. The location was excellent, 5 minute walk to the nearest pub/restaurant, In which we dined there a couple of times, and a short drive away from all the local attractions. The cottage had everything we needed and plenty of space for the four of us. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday then this is the cottage for you. Would highly recommend it!

“The perfect location to explore the area and PERFECT place to return to!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

What a delightful few days our family of 4 have just spent in Mali's beautiful cottage! So well kitted out, and perfectly kept, this wonderfully converted stable building has the character and cosiness you would wish for, coupled with all the mod-cons too. We were out most of the day, but it was a delight to come back to and relax after our days out being active!

The location was great - rural and peaceful, yet close enough to shops and a variety of pubs. Central just to the South of the National Park it is the perfect location to explore the Brecon Beacons and to get to the coast too. From here we went Gorge Walking and Climbing with Hawk Adventures (www.hawkadventures.co.uk) and kayaking down the Monmouth and Brecon Canal (www.backwatershire.co.uk).

The owner, Mali was very welcoming with a freshly baked batch of Welsh Cakes on our arrival. She was on hand if needed as her house was nearby, but we actually didn't see her until our departure.

Thank you for a perfect 4 days!

“Beautiful Cottage in an ideal location”

As a family of four which included 2 teenagers we all really enjoyed our stay at Glyn Cynwal. The cottage is stocked with everything you could need for a very comfortable stay and the Spa bath was hit all round. It has been kept immaculate throughout and it really deserves it's 5 star status.
The cottage's location is excellent. It is up a little hill and is quiet and peaceful with no passing traffic or even passing people, just the odd rabbit. Yet within 10 minutes drive you have access to 2 superstores. During our weeks stay we did day trips to the Gower for it's stunning beaches (50 mins), the Brecon's for walking (20 mins) , Carmarthenshire for it's beautiful castles and a gold min (40 mins), Swansea for its waterfront and waterpark (25 mins), Henrhyd Waterfalls (10 mins). Other attractions that we did not have time to do but are nearby include the Mumbles, Tenby and the National show cave centre.
Finally Mali is so welcoming and helpful and we do not hesitate in recommending Glyn Cynwal for your stay in Wales.

“Wonderful Cottage with warm welcome”

We love this cottage so much we have been back every year since finding it four years ago. The owner Mali makes you feel so welcome and at home, you don't want to leave at the end of your stay. The cottage is in a great location, quiet enough to relax, but well situated to get out into the wonderful Welsh countryside and near lots of interesting towns and villages.

“An Amazing find, an absolute Treasure”

We have stayed in many cottages , but this one has to be by far the best ever. It is in a scenic spot and is very beautiful to look at from the outside. When you step into the cottage it has such a warm and welcoming air.The cleanliness is second to none, amazingly clean. The beds were wonderful, nothing was stinted on and it was very obvious that the cottage was loved and cared for. The owner Mali is such a nice lady, and you just felt that she wanted you to enjoy her lovely property. We had young children with us who loved the space. An amazing place to stay, we can thoroughly recommend, and will be going back.

“Perfect for an 'away from it all' holiday”

Extremely comfortable, beautifully furnished cottage, near to the Gower coast, Swansea and the Brecon Beacons, ideal for our 3 generation family group. Lovely views from the garden, with scenic walks from the property. Access via a very steep hill, but we managed to walk down with buggy to local pub for a very nice lunch. Supermarkets are within easy reach. Our visits to nearby waterfalls and the Primate Sanctuary were memorable. The owner of the cottage is very pleasant and helpful, and the freshly baked Welsh cakes on arrival were the 'icing on the cake'!

From the moment we arrived to a warm welcome , we couldn't have wished for a better base than this . The cottage is exceptionally appointed , spotlessly clean and is equipped up to date. Felt at home immediately and this is in such a peaceful and picturesque setting . Ideal for visiting the gower and/or the Brecons and it was nice to come back to this superb hideaway . We couldn't recommend it higher and the owner Mali clearly takes pride in her guests enjoying their stay . Really beautiful area and cottage. If you come here you won't be disappointed .
