“A good hotel would recommend”
Reviewed February 5, 2014

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The room was good, very clean, staff were very helpful and pleasant (all of them) The breakfast was good. I had no complaints. The room was warm and had all things promised when booking.

Recently stayed at this hotel as I was visiting some friends in Swansea and the location was great. The receptionist, Delia, was welcoming, and the check in quick. The food and service in the restaurant were fantastic. The highlight of the stay. The waiter, Adam, being extremely helpful, not only serving a great meal with friendly conversation but also coming up to fix a problem I had with my TV in the room! The breakfast was also very nice with a good range of options, and to top it off friendly and helpful staff, a challenge so early in the morning! Particularly a young girl who's name I cannot remember! Will definitely be coming back for such incredible service.

I stayed at the hotel with my wife and 2 children. The welcome we received was excellent, we were late arriving and the reception staff were ever to assist us in settling in. Our room was warm, very clean and spacious for all four of us! The shower was powerful and the temperature control worked well for me and the children!

Breakfast was excellent, a great choice and again the staff were always on hand to assist but were in no way intrusive.

Overall an excellent 2 night stay and would highly recommend it!

A very pleasant three night break in January. The Hotel had everything we needed:- plenty of parking, a warm and comfortable upgraded room, a big comfy bed, a restaurant and more than attentive staff. The Breakfast was great and the evening meal good - there is a reasonable choice in the menu. We did have a problem with the room television, but this was fixed within minutes by the duty manager - which proves the staff are there to help. Overall the hotel decor is in need of a light refresh, particularly in the public areas - but this is a minor observation since nothing in our room spoiled the occasion. The only thing I would change is the monotonous background music in the restaurant! But, if you are a wheelchair user - beware - the pavements are blocked with concrete planters and wastebins.

Room Tip: Try to get a larger room - these can have an additional sofa. Choose a lake view, or a room overlook...

Dear Stuart H.

Thanks for your kind review. The bin shouldn't have been left where it was as it was blocking the walkway. I have now moved it back to where it should sit. Please accept my appologies on this one, we all saw it on the pavement but no one thought about the impact it had on a pushchair or wheelchair user, so we have learnt to be a bit more observant on this now.

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend break as we were visiting Swansea for a sporting event. The hotel made us extremely welcome and were attentive throughout. Our room was very comfortable and the surroundings quiet.

The hotel is situated out of the city centre and there is a lake nearby. We had a pleasant walk round the lake on Sunday morning.

Added bonus is the swimming pool, gym and free WiFi.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking the lake

A disappointing meal although served by very attentive and helpful staff !!!! Last year was a Christmas meal with sprouts and other seasonal veg however this year half the meal was plated quite sparsely and a generous amount of peas and boiled potatoes placed in tureens on the prettily decorated tables ! The soup was a tasty starter with a delicious bread roll and butter other people on the table had pate which was superb in presentation and the cleared slates told their own tale ,others had salmon terrine and couldn't decide what the top consisted of !!! Although that was cleared as well !!!.my dessert was "different "I had ordered profiteroles -- it tasted of profiteroles but then the cream I had requested would have solved that !!! So disappointed was the only way to describe although the coffee and chocolate was really good and we were all offered refills a nice end to the meal

Dear Pammy K,

Thanks for taking the time to review us.

It seems to me that apart from the vegetable selection and presentation every thing else was OK, though I have to confess I didn't fully understand the Profiterole point ?. Perhaps if you have any further feedback you could give me a call at the hotel and we can discuss. Hopefully you'll give us another try as all of your observations are learning points that we can use so as to ensure we do it better next time.

Thanks once again for taking the time to feedback to us.

Best Regards
