Went for a play on the beach(it is on the beach) kids happy and lots to do, Marriott hotels generally always the same so you know what to expect and this hotel didn't fail to deliver. Would go again

Were upgraded to a suite, but all rooms great Marriott quality. Fantastic comfy bedding! Own hotel car park (happy to leave car). Great breakfast - all you could need and more! Located right next to beach with night life and shopping just across the road (5 mins walk). Had a taxi over in the evening to save the hair!! Lovely walk along coastal path to the Mumbles (approx 5 miles). Recommend a visit to Grape & Olive bar located at top (28th floor) of sky scraper next to Marriott. Fantastic 360 degree view of city and coast.

Room Tip: overlooking the marina or sea would be best. always prefer end of corridor away from noisy lift

Stayed here for 4 nights and on last night Manchester City football team also syayed at the hotel before playin Swansea on the Sunday. Team were milling around the reception area this morning so most of the players and managment.
As for the hotel very nice, excellent breakfasts, lovely bed and nice leisure facilities.
Realy enjoyed a long walk along the seafront and it would have been even better if it it had been a sunny day.
Would reccomend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Ground floor if possible as lifts were very slow.

Stayed at the Marriot hotel in Swansea, in May last year (2011). We were attending a wedding at the hotel and had booked a room to stay over night.
Very disappointed with the room we were allocated, which was absoloutely tiny! Not up to the same standard as previous Marriot hotels we have stayed in.

Check in was rushed and staff weren't that friendly. Whilst having food during the wedding, the staff were very miserable and if you asked them something, they would forget almost immediately and you would have to ask them again.

Bar prices were extremely high but what you would expect in a Marriot hotel.

Breakfast in the morning was nice, with a lot of selection. Although it was very cramped in there and you were almost sitting ontop of the people next to you.

The hotel is situated in a nice place near the marina.

We stayed here one night when we were entertaining a client. Having arrived in thick misty conditions we had no idea that the hotel overlooked the marina one side and the sea the other until the next morning. Reception were helpful and friendly. Room was good on 3rd floor and Ww did not hear anything of the function downstairs. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice although I was supprised of the limited views from the breakfast room. If I had designed the hotel it would have been upstairs overlooking the sea and Marina. You can walk for miles along the seafront and round the marina. Very nice hotel and good base for exploring The Gower will definetly stay again.
