Our first trip to the Gower, we hadn't booked any accomodation before we travelled, so were looking for a B&B for 1 night. "How Lucky were we!" on the way to Worms Head we spotted a board saying B&B Vacancy. Drove down the typical bumpy farm drive to West Pilton House. Barbara greeted us, took us round into their lovely garden, with plenty of places to sit, including a Summer House, which Dave said we were welcome to use! View to die for from the garden, over the field out to sea. Barbara welcomed us with a lovely cafetiere of coffee and shortbread biscuits, which we enjoyed in the beatuiful sunny garden Our Lovely, Double room, also had the Fab Sea View, as does the other Double Room. Lovely bathroom with shower cublicle, supplied with FULL sized shampoo, conditioner & shower gel, all spotlessly clean. There was also a packet of cotton pads supplied, (nice little touch I thought) Tea, Coffee making facility provided, with more of those scrummy shortbread biscuits. A very nice breakfast, with next doors chickens eggs. Upon leaving Dave gave us a bag of home grown tomatoes. "Thank you Dave, you were right the Russian Tomato was lovely and sweet!"
Barbara & Dave take great pride in their home and it shows!
Thank you Barbara & Dave "We Will Be Back!"

This is a lovely place to stay. The B&B is in a beautiful spot with views over fields to the sea. Close to the Worm's Head and wonderful coastal walks. The bedroom was very comfortable with ensuite shower. A big window over the garden, fields and to the sea, so even if it's raining the view is fab. Barbara and Dave were most welcoming and made us feel right at home throughout our visit. It was our anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better place to fit into our memories of a wonderful time together.

We stayed at West Pilton B&B for one night only, as part of a short cycling holiday. The location was great, the view was beautiful (and the binoculars left by the window definitely contributed to our enjoyment of it), the room was immaculate, but still comfortable and pleasant and everything was thought of. We were provided with a secure location for our bikes overnight, local knowledge and advice, an OS Explorer map and a couple of torches so we could go on a nice evening walk.
Barbara and Dave were friendly, helpful and kind, the breakfast was delicious and so huge that we struggled up the hills and didn't need to eat anything else until 40 miles later, and they even sent us off with some fresh tomatoes from their garden.

My partner and I stayed at West Pilton House for three nights in mid July. It was our first visit to the Gower and it was an excellent choice. Barbara and Dave are wonderful hosts and made us extremely welcome. Our bedroom and en suite bathroom was of a high standard and the view from our bedroom window over the open farmland to the coast was truly beautiful. Barbara's breakfasts are superb and an excellent start to our days spent walking and exploring the area. On our departure day she was happy to oblige us with a earlier breakfast than normal. Walkers are welcome and a wide choice of guide books and maps was available for guests to borrow, along with plenty of advice on places to see and guidance on the local eateries. Barbara willingly rang up a couple of nearby restaurants to book a table for our evening meal which is recommended during the high season. The pretty garden is available for guests to sit in and enjoy should they wish. You will need your own transport to reach Rhossili but it's only a shortish walk through farmland to the coastal path from where you can walk either way and enjoy the superb scenery. We found West Pilton House to be good value and a very friendly place to stay if you like peace and quiet, yet you are not very far from Rhossili village and beach by car. Barbara even went out of her way on our departure day to cook us an earlier than normal breakfast. Highly recommended.

This was our third stay at West Pilton B&B which in itself should speak volumes for how much we love it here! There is not much I can say that the other reviews don't already mention but in short beautiful location, immaculate, modern rooms and very welcoming and lovely hosts who make it feel like home from home. We do a lot of travelling and a good or bad stay can often be determined by the friendliness of the hosts and Barbara and Dave never fail to make you feel so welcome and go out of their way for you!

I stayed two weeks ago and had a really lovely stay. Unfortunately my boyfriend had to work but I decided to take the trip to the Gower peninsula anyway as we had spent a lot of time finding somewhere nice to visit. I could not have been happier with the welcome and hospitality by Barbara and Dave to their lovely home.
They have put a lot of effort into renovating the property and I think their hard work shows. My room, which had a sea view, was clean, comfortable and a perfect place to rest after long walks. Freeview and a selection of DVD's are also available. The en suite was also in keeping with the room and looked brand new with fluffy towels provided, sadly too often the bathroom is a disappointment. There is no wifi so research on where to go etc was limited but Barbara gave good advice on places to visit/where to park so I was really grateful. The selection and quality at breakfast was also spot on!
I can't wait to go back with my boyfriend!!

Room Tip: Try and arrive in the daylight as you will need to see where you're going as the farm lane is ve...

The B&B is very close to a spectacular part of the Coastal Path. We stayed with our children in the two rooms of the B&B and Barbara and Dave were incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the well-equipped ensuite bathroom even have hot and cold water mixed in the taps (providing tourists with a rare opportunity to wash their hands and shave in the UK without having to choose between scalding themselves or risking frostbites). The breakfast is very good and plentiful (you get a choice of eating it 9 or 9:30).
