“Hmmm!”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Visited last weekend, Bank Holiday weekend. We've been once before and had a good experience. This time, the staff were good, the ribs were burnt beyond being edible and the "24oz" steak for 2 must have shrunk beyond belief whilst being cooked. The chips, either frozen/chilled/Lords/Iceland were AWFUL. The sauce to accompany the steak was very poor.
An expensive evening for very mediocre food - shame!

“average food at top class prices”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

a recent second visit by my girlfriend and i was not as we expected after our 1st visit, the service was good but the food average with very streaky veined liver and a small portion of beef which was cooked well but served only with a small ammount of mashed potatoes and no veg for £15.95 would have expected something larger,

“Langlands the tops”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

We have never failed to have a good meal at Langlands Brasserie. Sited just off the beach in a wonderful scenic situation, the restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is extensive and whilst not cheap, the portions are big and the house wine very reasonably priced.

Last Saturday the restaurant was packed but we had only to wait 10 minutes for our reserved table to be prepared for us. As they were so busy, we thought we would have to wait some toime for service. Not at all! We were given menus straight away and our food was served within 15 minutes of sending in our order.

A few months ago, we went there for their famous Champagne breakfast. It was excellent.

“Lovely spot - service left something to be desired!!”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

Went for lunch 23rd August. No complaints about food except there was a hair in our mixed anti pasto dish. Waitress offered a replacement veg but grudingly. Placing our order at the till was horrendous. Lady taking the order just couldn't care less, was very unhelpful and rude, in fact she looked down her nose at us as if she was too good to be there. Asked for advice on the wine and it was as much as she could do to respond. If you don't like waitressing then find another job! A shame as the location is wonderful and the food was fresh and tasty.

“Nice, but pricy”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

Pros: very nice location (right by the sea), friendly staff, modern decor.

Cons: prices are quite high for the relatively modest dishes.
