Chose the Future Inn for a one night stay as we were attending a concert in the Millennium Centre. It was as expected a professionally run hotel, with friendly reception staff.
The rooms in the hotel are large and very nice for a relatively low priced hotel. It includes a large double bed, with a sofa bed to one side and large screen tv. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. Typically, only a couple of sachets of coffee are put out in the room, but the reception staff will give you more on request.
The only slight downside we thought was the getting to the place on foot. We walked from Cardiff Bay station and although we could see the hotel, it is in the middle of a busy couple of roads and opposite the car park for the Red Dragon Centre, so it was a bit difficult to walk to, although it would be much easier by car.
We didn't opt for the breakfast next morning, which at £9.50 each seemed a bit expensive, though it did look quite good.
As for the Bay, it's a great place to visit, especially for the restaurants. We actually had breakfast in a Wetherspoons pub nearby, which was cheap, cheerful and actually not bad for the price.
If you're not expecting fabulous views or 5* luxury, you won't really go wrong with this hotel. I would definitely stay there again.More
