We stayed in an apartment on the weekend of the opening ceremony to the rugby league World Cup. The apartments are conveniently placed within 20 minutes walking distance of Millennium stadium. We were late arriving due to travelling a long distance and bad traffic so phoned to update but check in was kindly extended and despite our late arrival, we were still given a warm welcome at the office and clear directions, with a map, to drive on to the apartment (about a 5 minute journey). The apartment itself was a great space with living room, bedroom; fully equipped kitchen - dishwasher, fridge, microwave - and bathroom as well as a small balcony (hurricane winds meant we decided against trying this out) with a view of the river! Cleanliness was good. Shower screen in bathroom needed bleaching but apart from that everywhere else was clean.
Would recommend staying here and we plan to visit again.

If you're wanting the flexibility of doing your own cooking and keeping your own hours, these apartments are great. The secure underground parking included in the rent is a big advantage, and the apartments are a five minute walk from the millenium centre, which was where we were visiting. Our apartment was a little shabby in places but perfectly serviceable and extremely clean. The beds were large and comfortable; the only things lacking which made it not feel like home were that there were no bedside tables or lamps by the bed, and no make up mirror - the mirror in the bathroom was set back in a recess behind the loo and sink, so you couldn't get close enough. We had loads of space, and a view across the river. Having the use of a gym was great too.

We found these apartments by chance as we couldn't find a hotel for the All Blacks game.. Have to say that we were pleasantly surprised. The apartments are much better than any hotel you'll find in Cardiff. The staff at the office, where you collect your keys, are very friendly and helpful. All in all, great location, perfect accommodation, helpful staff, very clean apartments with the added benefit of a decent sized tv, dvd and wifi! Trust me, you wont be disappointed!
Ps, we had a "studio" which is basically a one bedroom apartment!

We recently stayed in an apartment for the first time in Poland and were extremely impressed so decided to try it in this country for our trip to Cardiff to see the Grand Slam decider against France. We are so glad we did. We booked a studio but on arrival were told we had been upgraded to a one bedroom apartment. The apartment was very spacious and the fixtures, fittings and furnishings were excellent, very modern and comfortable. We had a nice view over the river. The apartments are gated and access is via your key fob. Each apartment is allocated a parking space, ours was in the undercroft. We were so impressed with the accommodation we could have moved in!
The only criticism we had was one of the pillows was extremely grubby and looked as though it should have been disposed of long ago. Better towels would also have been a bonus.
Wouldn't look to stay anywhere else if visiting Cardiff again and will definitely look for apartments when travelling in future.

The previous Acitybode Mount Stuart had gone out of business so LateRooms moved us here. We were on the 10th floor of the most stunning apartment it was clean, tidy, very modern and up to date. We had no trouble with the heating as other reviewers have, found it quite simple if anything we had it up too high! All our bedding was white and crisp and had 4 pillows and 4 towels!! My only very tiny complaint would have been the light curtains in the bedroom! Light streaming in from 6am! But everything else was gorgeous including the stunning Cardiff bay views from the right of the balcony to the Stadium to the left!! Will definatly return!! We walked to the centre in about 10 minutes and even felt safe enough to walk back at 3am!! Mermaid Quay is brilliant for a gorgeous romantic night out and again only 10 minutes walk away. My biggest tip would be to do your food shopping before you get there so you can truely relax in comfort!

Stayed at Capital Apts Century Wharf for two nights for the Wales vs Australia rugby match in December. Apts are well equipped, modern, very clean, but lacking in a few elements. We had a one bed apt which was lovely with view over the river. However, the heating was useless, and there were no instructions - we stuck the thermostats up but this didnt really help and we could have done with some more heat. The bedding - duvet, pillows are old and not good. There were two towels there for us - but these had really seen better days - so my advice is: check heating as soon as you arrive, take your own towels and soap/shower gel and shampoo etc - and your own pillows! The Apts are well located for Mermaid Quay. Considering we paid £99 for our first night and £175 for our second night - I would have actually preferred to stay in a decent hotel, although they were all booked up. If you were staying in Cardiff for a week or more then these Apts would certainly be a good bet providing you could get a better rate than we did.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view over the Taff River. Ensure the heating is working as soon as you arrive...
