Stayed here on business in January. The downstairs reception area is nice with gas log fires burning which gives a homely feel. Only had breakfast but that was ok although little choice of fruits and yoghurts etc.

Rooms are clean and tidy, very spacious. Beds are in good condition and the rooms have all the facilities you need. Staff are well trained, efficient and friendly.

The reason I marked it down a bit was that it's a bit soulless, it's a bit clinical and lacks character, it's a sort of business hotel that serves a purpose rather than somewhere that you can really enjoy as a base.

Having said that, I will use it again for business but not necessarily for family where you might crave a little more sophistication and ambience.

Park Plaza is in a perfect location and within walking distance of pretty much everything you would want to see in Cardiff.

The staff are amazing and the hotel room ( we were upgraded to junior suites) was wonderful.

It's often the little touches that make a good stay into a great stay.

The bath was huge, the towels were uber fluffy; there was a separate shower AND a shower function in the bath itself. That coupled with some lovely shampoos, conditioner, soap and shower gel.

There is a mini fridge with reasonable prices attached, a decent TV, hairdryer, ironing board, desk, sofa and chairs and the most comfortable super king size bed I have slept in.

The breakfast is also fabulous. Continental options as well as full English, fresh fruits, yoghurt, pastries, juices and tea and coffee...delish!

I am definitely going again but for pleasure next time.

Wonderful stay thank you

Very central hotel convenient for all shops, castle, museum etc. If you want to be at the centre of it all this is a great place to stop. Very nice reception and relaxing area (especially at night when the 'fires' are lit it has a wonderful ambiance). Staff very pleasant, helpful and efficient on arrival and check out. Room large enough with good facilities although I did find the bath/shower taps a bit odd to work out. Some of the finishing touches could be a bit better to give it the wow factor. The room overlooked the NCP car park and row of bars which, despite the double glazing, were quite noisy until the early hours. Great to have use of the spa facilities (swimming pool, steam room and jacuzzi) which were very clean and well maintained. Good gym with plenty of apparatus and friendly reception staff. The hotel also gives 20% off parking in Greyfriars NCP car park which is a real help when its £24.00 for 24 hrs!
