It's been a while since Torchwood was on the television. Visitors to Cardiff Bay may be a bit perplexed over this.

This is a shrine remembering the Character Ianto Jones, who died saving Earth in the programme Torchwood. This location is shown in the TV series to be the home of Torchwood 2, and was a little information kiosk that has a secret door to the main lab. The shrine holds pics and drawings, poems etc, and is maintained by the cafe above, fans of the show must see!

As a Who and Torchwood fan I absolutely loved this place. The whole area is a fantastic place to visit and a trip to the Shrine was a must for me!

I know it's just a bit of fun, but it must be time for this to go now? There's a lot of history in this area, maybe an informative display on the port would be a nice idea. Sometimes when passing people ask me who the shrine is for and what happened and look very confused when I tell them it's a fictional character!

But it must puzzle visitors who have not heard of Torchwood. Perhaps in more clement weather DVDs of the series are sold nearby.
