“Truly wonderful food at this small, friendly restaurant!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012

I recently visited this restaurant in August with friends and family. I can honestly say that the food was superb on all fronts - really tasty, substantial and the naan bread was the best I have ever tasted. Staff were very attentive and the plates were hot! A big plus in my book as there is nothing worse than eating good food from cold plates. The price of £8.95 for starter, main, rice (their special fried rice is truly lovely) and naan is such good value. I went there again last Saturday and once again enjoyed an unrivalled dining experience. We have decided to treat ourselves there every month as this small, friendly business deserves much recognition and I would defy anyone to find a better place to eat in Cardiff at the moment that ticks all the boxes on quality, flavour, service and price. Well done to the owner and staff. I will be back very soon.

“Buy Cheap, Buy Crap”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2012

Food is very bland, service wasnt great. If you want to be full for £11.95 then this is the place for you.

But i recommend you to use that £11.95 and order one good curry dish from a good indian restaurant.

“Best curry ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012

Having had a couple of takeaways from here and eaten in twice I thought it best that I give them the review they deserve. This is probably one of the best Indian Restaurants that I have ever had the pleasure to eat in. The staff were attentive and friendly, the price was very reasonable at £8.95 for starter, main course, rice & nan, and the food was superb. Everything tasted freshly cooked, the chicken was succulent, the lamb was so tender you did not need a knife to cut it and not an ounce of fat to be seen. Whilst with some curry houses almost every curry tastes similar because they use a base curry this is not the case in the Blue Garlic. Each curry has its own individual taste. There is an amazing selection of food on the menu, some of which you won't find in other restaurants. Will definitely be back soon.
