Owner description: Overlooking the Bay and with a chic, cosmopolitan atmosphere, Mermaid Quay is where Cardiff comes to relax.Just five minutes from the city centre, it's the perfect destination for relaxing, partying or splashing out on a bit of retail therapy or personal pampering. The wealth of waterfront restaurants, cafes and bars with menus from around the world mean there's something for every taste and pocket - from a quick snack to a leisurely, luxury meal. And, if it's laughs you're after, there's nowhere better than the Glee Club - one of the UK's top stand-up venues.Meanwhile shops and services range from stylish boutiques offering hot fashions & accessories, fine foods, fabulous furnishings and great gifts to Ken Picton's award-winning hair dressing salon & spa.

Lovely place at night when its all lit up. It has an out door stadium where concerts etc take place and rcently a marathon when we stayed over. Loads of bars, restaurants and shopping in a very mordernised setting.

We liked arriving by either boat or the open air bus to find plenty of places to eat and drink. Food from every continent.

Visit here a lot when in Cardiff. Attractions mainly the eateries, everything from pizzas and pub food to Chinese, Asian and sandwiches. Particularly pleasant on a nice day, even more so if they are hosting a special event of which there are many.

Went there specifically to see the site of the Torchwood base. Accidentally stumbled upon a 'memorial' to Ianto Jones/Torchwood Cardiff which was amazing and feel this is a tourist site of undiscovered potential. Think the tourist board of Cardiff could make so much more of it.
