I find this venue one of the really lively places in Cardiff. There is always a great buzz in the evenings. Definitely a people watching place. The arts centre itself has a lot going on and the large space that has been opened up to be the restaurant has a range of tables to accommodate different groups. Some of the tables are communal tables and so a group can sit together, or you can sit at a table and meet new people. The outdoor space is good for warmer days and there is a small 'cwtch' bar to the side. Food is good. There are vegetarian choices on the menu, although a bit limited. There is WiFi so you can take computer along, as many do, and get some work done if you want. There is a quite a large car park at the back, but fills quite quickly. There is parking in the side streets, but they are quite narrow.
