Yes, we went for lunch. Two courses for £10. Amazing. The problem was that the ham hock terrine was ordinary and my burger with all the trimmings was dry, though excellent quality. Partner had clams with bacon on laver bread....definitely the highlight. I didn't see the point of the trendy gin list, but to each their own I suppose, especially as the wines were poorly chosen and not good at all. They had a local Monmouth white, which I've had elsewhere and unimpressed with and the two glasses we had were terrible! Please stop the trendy posturing with the gins and put some nice wines on the menu at different prices. I'd have liked a nice £6 or £7 wine choice by the glass like the cocktails. Service was slow. They were clearly stretched and/or disorganised. One final note...i had the best americano coffee I've had for a long long time. A little more care with the cooking and a little more speed and this place will be excellent.
