WE cycled from Cardiff Bay to the cathedral - meant to take 20 mins but got lost so arrived saddle sore over an hour later, however enjoyed a walk round on arrival. The Majestus Christ Crucified is an interesting modern monument erected amongst the old by Sir Jacob Einstein in the 50s. The cathedral was damaged by a landmine in 1941 and its amazing to compare images from then and the standard to which it has now been reconstructed.

Each time I make a trip to see my son I like to visit Llandaff Cathedral. The cathedral is a true historical gem and I never tire of walking around it. Over the ages it has been cleverly pieced together and the result is a minature and thoroughly interesting monument.
However, it is a pity that the cathedral shop staff are less than friendly. A smile and a little attention would not go a miss.......
