Strange hotel - we stayed here as the sponsor of an event at the hotel but the treatment we received was not what I expected. From the wrong room, to the dirty cups in the room, metal tumblers masquerading as glasses with green in the bottom of them and rust to being charged for parking when it was supposed to be included in the seminar costs we were sponsoring ie paying for everyone - over 45 delegates. The air conditioning was broke, the phone in the first room we were given didn’t work, the bed was like a rock, there was only two plug sockets and this is a hotel that promotes itself as a business hotel.
When we wanted to change room they wanted to give us a downgraded room. I have never heard of that before. Of course I insisted we get the same level of room which was supposed to be superior but there was nothing superior about the room or the service.
If this is how they treat a guest who is paying a lot of money for an event god knows how they would have treated us if we weren’t. When we complained on check out they took our email address and we haven’t heard anything since - says it all. They don’t care.

We stayed here for one night with our daughter who became very ill and had to be taken by an ambulance to hospital. Although we didn't actually get to enjoy our stay at the hotel at all the staff while we were there were so helpful, friendly and caring. They couldn't do enough to help us while with our daughter, especially the kitchen staff and the man on reception in the evening. Thank you.

Booked this hotel as a birthday treat to my fiancée for one night ..
Was greeted well at reception and check in was swift and hassle free .
The hotel reception and surrounding looked nice .
There were 2 lifts in which one was broken and being very warm inside the hotel the wait was inconvenient!
Got to the room and was very disappointed with how dated it was to start with and very dusty with damp on walls as pictured !! Not what I would expect for a hotel of £140 a night !
On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and we had a peaceful night sleep . Not impressed with an added £12 for parking too.
I won’t be returning to this hotel any time soon and for the cost I’m sure there is much better in the surrounding area .

This is quite a nice hotel. It has a good restaurant bar area that is not only used by customers, and that made it feel buzzy and a nice place to stay. Check in took ages with little apology for the queue. The room was fine - an average Novotel room that was clean and functional. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a holiday, but for a business stay it was fine.
