This is another gem of a place in Roath for a lazy weekend breakfast / brunch. Having driven past it a few times, I didn’t make much of it and thought it to be just another establishment on Crwys road. But when I searched for a place to have brunch last Sunday, the glowing reviews made me try this place, and I’m gad I did. It was busy and hence there was a wait for food. However, the waitress did point it out at the start and was apologetic (not necessary as it wasn’t her fault!). I ordered the Eggs Benedict Royale, whilst others on the table had ordered a standard fry up, and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon (and a drink is included if you order one of the big breakfast or brunch items). The food was very good and quite reasonably priced. The vast variety of offerings and cheaper prices probably make this a more suitable option than the Pot Cafe up the road. This would definitely be on top of my list when I’m to venture out for a weekend brunch.
