Description: Restaurant Minuet was established in 1986, we are a small family run business serving genuinely home cooked Italian food with a difference. It started with a simple menu but over the years it has developed into what it is today. Our aim is not to serve pretentious, overpriced food with a drizzle of sauce, but serve good tasty wholesome dishes with the majority of which are our own recipes at honest prices. Our customers will enjoy their meal in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere to the soothing sound of specially selected pieces of classical music, that has inspired so many of our dishes. We are not licensed to serve wine and spirits, but you are welcome to bring your own. Corkage is free. Please note that during busy times there will be other customers waiting for a table, as we don't charge for alcohol time will be restricted. Please respect other diners waiting for a table.

My husband, son and I visited this restaurant following the positive reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed the food and service surpassed our expectation. The food was superb and given the generous portions it was excellant value for money. We will definately return and would highly recommend this to anyone who loves authentic italian food

Go. Go to this lovely little (tiny) gem. We both had pasta and could not finish the portions. The food was perfect for what it aspires to be: simple, home-style and authentic. The staff were friendly and helpful and the prices were great value. You'll find it full at peak lunch hour and for a good reason. We highly recommend Restaurant Minuet.

I am so glad that I read the other great reviews for this restarant, as I would not
normally walk past the place!

It is situated opposite the Castle, in the Castle Arcade, and is really tiny - only 9 tables inside,
and you need to be there early to avoid queing. The Minestrone Soup was expensive, at £5.25. but well worth the money...all the vegetables tasted really fresh, and the soup was just the thing for a cold wet day! I then had Chicken Alfredo, with a sauce that was just right. The Chicken was tasty, and easy to cut with a fork, and the pasta seemed fresh, as well, all for a very fair price.

There was classical music playing in the background, which perfectly completed my lunch.

There is not much room to move in this place, so the two waitresses had trouble getting through, but the service was genuine, and I would guess that the chef is also the owner, as the food is prepared, fresh, and perfectly.

For fast service, lovely Italian food, reasonable prices and a central location, this place is very hard to beat in the capital. What we particularly like about it is the choice of food for a small establishment, ensuring that all our children have something on the menu to suit them.

My personal favourite is an option for addional chillies or garlic on their pizzas, at no extra charge! If I had one criticism, they do not have a licence to sell alcohol but they are happy for you to bring your own bottle along.

In short, it's a traditional family Italian Welsh restaurant with all the positives you would expect from such an establishment. We will be back there soon.
