“A Capital visit”

Spent 4 nights with a David Urquhart tour.Although the hotel is very modern clean and well presented it is not geared up to deal with coach parties. The impression given is it is a business mans stopover hotel and holiday makers are classed as second class guests.Plenty of snobbery here! The rooms are very spacious clean with a lovely shower room. However where is the wardrobe or drawers - you could only hang your clothes on a pole sticking out of the wall. The buffet style breakfast was exceptional except fried eggs were only supplied to order and the staff were reluctant to serve them. The buffet evening meal left a lot to be desired with basically the same dishes on offer every night. However we enjoyed our holiday (Cardiff is a lovely city) we would not visit this hotel again David & Andrea Grist

I stayed at this hotel with a group of friends for a Murder, Mystery weekend. The hotel is probably one of the best I have stayed at. Our room was very clean, a good size and very modern. The evening meal was very nice and so was breakfast, with a choice of full English or Continental breakfast. Would certainly go back there again.
The Murder, Mystery evening was also very entertaining. .

I stay here regularly when visiting Cardiff on business. The hotel is well located close to the M4, and the rooms are clean and well-maintained. Food in the restaurant is excellent, although the menu is a little limited.

This review is long over due but even though I would like to share my views.

I stayed at this hotel over the May Bank Holiday for 1 night. On arrival the check in was quick and easy. Parking is free if staying at the hotel, make sure to enter your car registration on the system that is available at reception.

The room was ok had 2 double beds as I was staying with my partner and 2 girls. The only negatives about the room was that there was a big red mark on the carpet as you enter the room, the bathroom door handle was broken and there were dirty dishes left in the room from previous guests. A quick call to the reception staff and the dishes were taken. I didn't mention the stain and the door handle as didn't want to make a fuss for 1 night. I had also requested a wake up call for the next morning but there was no call, luckily my 2 girls wake up early so we just made it in time for breakfast.

Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from.

The best think about this hotel was the location. Everything was within 15 - 20 mins drive. we manged to get to see all the attractions that were on my list in 1 day hence I think an overnight stay was enough. The only 35 min drive we did was to visit Barry Island. A nice place for the kids to play with sand and dip there feet in water on a good day, parking for free for 2 hours as well which was great.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and most probably stay here again as location was great.

Room Tip: Any room would be fine as there is nothing by the hotel that has a good view. Ours faced the parking...

I recently had a short stay at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised, the staff were all polite and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable and included tea/coffee making, hair dryer, and toiletries, the bathroom was ample sized with a large walk in shower cubicle, the evening meal was served buffet style as was the breakfast which were both enjoyable, the hotel is on the outskirts of the city but would defiantly stay again.

Needed a hotel room at short notice and the Park Inn fitted the bill a treat. Bedrooms were good condition and very clean. Staff were very helpful, easily arranged a very useful late departure at no extra charge. Bar prices also very reasonable.

Just spent a week at the Park inn with a coach trip, reception was very good we had help with our cases (which was good as many of the passengers were elderly) and it was very quick and easy to check in, the room was lovely clean nice bathroom with shower no bath but plenty hot water nice big towels, the tv had freeview which was very good, only thing I thought strange there was no drawers for you to put underwear etc in only these open boxes, so no privacy for personal items, The food was good 3 main choices each night + soup or salad to start and a nice selection of sweets and tea or coffee, good breakfast so very good. The hotel is very isolated so no where to go in the evening and the city centre was a taxi ride away which cost £12 + depending on traffic. Free newspaper each day Staff were friendly and helpful so in all a very nice stay.
