We went around the Bay and looked at the Xmas markets when they were here. There are loads of restaurants to choose from, you can walk right across from one end of the Bay to the other or walk across the barage to Penarth as well. Some really nice areas for walking and/or taking great photo's of scenary etc. One thing the bay doesn't have much of is shops - but then the city centre is only 5min away by bus or taxi...oh and the Christmas markets and entertainment were great :)

The feeling I got when visiting Cardiff was one of culture and relaxation. A day is not enough to discover this beautifully developed area. I went there on my own and felt nothing but awe and interest - the over riding thing was that I also felt safe. Totally worth visiting no matter where your interests lie

This was a no go area when I lived in Cardiff but it has been brought up to date in an amazing way. Its incredible the way olde blends with new, industrial blends with residential and leisure. There is so much to do and most of it offers excellent value for money, especially the Red Dragon Centre. Somethinfg for everyone and suits all pockets
