If this hotel hadn't been so cheap I would have only given it 2 out of 5 maximum. But when you pay less than £40 for a nights sleep you can't expect too much.
Having said that, the room was dire - quite big but it felt like it had been adapted from an old open plan office. The carpet hadn't been hoovered and the bathroom was old with black grouting. I certainly wasn't going to have a shower.
There were no windows that could open and one fan which was too noisy to have on whilst you slept so we boiled a bit and it felt very claustrophobic. The curtains looked like they had been made out of a rug and god knows what grime they were harbouring.
On the plus side, the receptionist was very friendly and the location central. To have breakfast included was pretty amazing at the price. You could have unlimited amounts of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, croissants (stale), hard boiled eggs, fruit juice, tea and coffee.
But the rooms do need a total revamp and in the meantime a bloody good clean.More
