This is a very user friendly and attractive museum with excellent collections of Welsh artists and landscapes, a number of English paintings, ceramics and an excellent collection of impressionist paintings.

Great food, well presented, immaculate and clean, good choice...but PLEASE do be a bit quicker and more engaging with the public...a smile wouldn't go amiss....remember you ARE in the public eye and people take away good AND bad memories

We went here on a whim- and had a great time. The place was huge, so we pretty much stuck with the Natural History section. Lots of fossils, informative displays about the geology of Britain, and the best fish fossils I've ever seen. It was great.

Even though it is a small-ish museum... I feel like they pack in fun, little surprises in every room. I am not one of those people who go to museums and stare at one painting for hours ( come on, we ALL have friends like that) but, before I knew it, I had been wandering around the various rooms and galleries for two hours and thoroughly enjoy all of it. A surprise Van Gogh here, a quirky Hogarth there and some amazing little trinkets I don't want to give away. ( Spoilers!) Go. Enjoy. and be pleasantly surprised..just like I was.

Really nice Museum and Art Gallery. If you have time you should try visit. Very close to the city centre and it's free entry. They had a wildlife special being showcased while we were there which was great to see.
