Description: The Juboraj Restaurant Group is one of the oldest, and almost certainly, one of the great Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants in Wales having won numerous awards. The Lakeside restaurant with its Raj-like splendor has been at the heart of Roath Park for over15 years. This purpose built restaurant, architect designed over two levels, caters for small intimate meals to large group parties with ease. Specialising in quality British produce, served fresh, and cooked to your individual needs using authentic Indian spices. Choose from Welsh beef, New Zealand lamb or outdoor bred chicken dishes. Add into the equation their legendary Onion Bhajis and renowned fresh naan breads and they promise you a meal to remember whether it be lunch with work colleagues or dinner with friends and family. Dinner in Cardiff can at times be a tad impersonal, but all Juboraj restaurants extend a warm welcome and offer a friendly, personal service. Wether you’re dining alone or with a party of up to 50 people you’ll be well taken care of.

“Takeaway”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

We had food from here some time ago and weren't impressed. However, we had a takeaway a few weekends ago and it was delicious. Everyone liked their food which was fresh and tasty. Generous portions so enough for the next day too!

It's excellent to get a review for our takeaway food. We make every effort to ensure the takeaway food is as good as the food you get when you dine with us.

“Much improved”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

It is some time since we visited the Juboraj in Lakeside and found it to be an excellent choice and serving much tastier food than on previous visits. The service is very good and the quality of the beer and wine excellent. There is a pleasant ambiance and it is a thoroughly comfortable place to have an evening meal. Parking is also easy which is not the case for Punitha's which a wonderful South Indian restaurant nearby although the food is so good in Punitha's, it's worth searching for a suitable parking space or taking a taxi there.

“Overpriced”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

£6.60 for a beer? you got to be kidding..
Below average food, mediocre service and a kitschy faux Indian interior, you can only tolerate it if you are too drunk to notice.
Well worth avoiding..

We are a little perplexed with this review. The most expensive beer we serve is a large bottle of Cobra Beer for £4.95. We have also had nothing but praise for the refurbishment work that you feel is 'kitschy' and 'faux' but of course taste is subjective so we are sorry if you felt it was not to your liking.

“New chef and refurbishment”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

Well worth a visit - definitely improving. Service as friendly as ever and food has improved recently. Upstairs has been refurbished for functions and I think the downstairs will be refurbished soon. The tandoori dishes are excellent.
