I stayed here for one night on a business trip so was looking for somewhere functional and reasonably priced - and got so much more.

The room was large, very quiet and spotlessly clean. I slept like a log in the lovely bed and the sheets were lovely and soft. The service was really excellent - the best customer service I have had in a long time. Everyone from a cleaner I met in the lift to the bar staff and waitresses were very polite, helpful and good humoured. The food in the restaurant (both evening and breakfast) was very good and good value for money.

Parking is very annoying though - especially when it's pouring with rain and you can't work out how to enter the car park, let alone having to then trek to the hotel itself!

Will definately stay again.

Really well located Premier Inn, close to everything you would wish to visit. Please, please be aware of the car parking charges though. We stayed here for three nights and parked on the NCP car park that the hotel advertises at concessionary rates. The total cost of this was just under £50. Weigh this us with the cost of £12 for a train ticket that our son paid (one way from Crewe to Cardiff Central). Unless you really need a car travel another way.

My other pet hate with Premier Inns is that they like to charge for wifi. Visit one of the numerous bars/cafe, ie Wetherspoons and catch up with your emails FREE. We paid £2.95 for breakfast and did the emails at the same time. All of this aside this is a very new Premier Inn, the staff are fabulous, the food (we only did one breakfast and one evening meal) is well prepared. Very clean, very quiet too.

Hubby's biggest gripe though is the bar has no decent beer, unlike most of the other's in the chain with more of a "pub" adjoined. Yes I would recommend this hotel, but leave the car at home.

Just a short review as Premier Inn have the same interior throughout all their hotels.
Staff were very nice, everyone polite and helpfull. Nice double room. Quiet at night times. On site restaurant with good food, again very much norm food style for Premiers.
Free parking for disables users and pay NCP style for everyone else.
Hotel in great location for shopping and some attractions like the castle etc.
Great city, lovely people. Can't wait to go back in January.

The hotel rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. We had to check out early due to a family emergency and they were more than accomadting, they refunded that nights stay.

The food was well presented and cooked, I would not hesitate in recommending anyone to stay there.

It is minutes walk from everywhere in cardiff.

A lovely hotel overall, I have stayed in 5 star hotels which have given less service.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you have encountered problems booking a Premier Offer Promotion. The Premier Offer Promotion is subject to availability at selected Premier Inns and bookings must be made at least 21 days in advance of arrival. The Premier Offer Promotion has proved to be very popular and rooms do become booked very quickly. We do hope you are successful making future bookings.

We stayed at the Premier Inn, City Centre Cardiff for 2 nights. Good location.
It's good we asked for a room in a quiet part of the hotel because they had a hen and stag party on the Friday and Saturday which the staff said are their busy nights.
When we arrived, earlier than the check-in time, due to going sightseeing one of the staff greeted us warmly and guided us to go to St Fagin (which is a great place) and this was very helpful.

The hotel does not have a car park on site but you can park in two outdoor car parks (one outdoor and the other multi-storey). The hotel offers a discount of 40 - 50% if you park in these car parks. It was very expensive even with this discount.

The room was reasonably roomy and clean but the shower-curtain was a bit dirty. We needed extra amenities and the staff were attentive in providing us with these.

Breakfast, hot and continental, was ok. Not enough fruit though. Dinner in the resturant was ok too.

We might think twice about going back mainly because of the car-park which was very expensive i.e. about £17-£18 for overnight and £4.50 for two hours. Hotel should have more incentive with the 2 car-park companies i.e. to offer more of a discount for guests.
