What a fantastic hotel staff are fantastic, extremely helpful and knowledgable about the area. Bar & food prices extremely reasonable and location is ideal for shopping and motorpoint arena. There is no onsite parking but the NCP is across the road - with a special concessionary price of £11 for 24 hours. Rooms were spacious and clean - will definitely be revisiting.

The hotel is modern, clean very easy to find. It is close enough to not need transport for visiting the city centre. We stayed here because of it's close proximity to the Motorpoint Arena (about 3 minutes walk). If travelling by train, the Queens Street station is about 1 minutes walk.
The only downside is if you are travelling by car. The hotel does not have any parking of its own so you have to park in the adjecent multi story car park. Unfortunately, it isn't subsidised so our 24 hour stay did cost £18 in parking charges. That said, the hotel cost peanuts because I booked it several months in advance so you win some, you lose some!

I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a city break in a fast, vibrant city with plenty to do!

We chose this hotel because with 3 children it's nearly impossible to get somwhere to accomodate us; so the fact they have inter-connecting rooms was a huge plus. We checked in with ease and the kids were given a little welcome bag with some little treats in and the reception staff were happy to talk to the kids while i did the automatic check-in. The rooms were spotlessly clean as a lot bigger than expected. We had dinner and breakfast there and the food and staff were great on both occassions. With it's central location we would highly recommend this as a place to stay while visiting Cardiff

What promised to be a great stay in a clean, modern hotel became a nightmare. Our neighbouring rooms housed a very noisey, roudy stag party. After 2 hrs of extreme noise, bad language and room parties the police came at 4 AM and evicted the revellers. Not the hotel's fault, but a sleepless night. Thank goodness we didn't take the children.

Room Tip: Check for noisy neighbours on check-in

This was my fiancee's and my first stay in a hotel outside of London, and we had a great time. This great time was due in large part to the Premier Inn.
We booked a family room as it was the only type left, but this was more than acceptable and the price was unbeatable. The room was a good size for the price, with enough room to walk around in, and the bed was comfortable. The bath/shower had plenty of hot water that quickly came on (no waiting for hot water).
The hotel itself is in a great spot - right across the street from the new St. David shopping mall (which is great), and it's only a few minutes from both train stations, Cardiff Castle, and more.
The staff were receptive and helpful, and the one woman made a great recommendation of Giovanni's for our Valentine's Day dinner - it was superb.
The hotel breakfast was great, and it was a good price. 5.25pounds gets you all-you-can-eat non-meat breakfast (cereals, muffins, toast, etc.), and I think the breakfast with meat is 8.50. Not a bad deal at all. The food was fresh, good, and the setting was comfortable.

Only complaint is the heater didn't seem to work very quickly. It would work, but we were cold when we fell asleep and then woke up hot as the temperature had gradually increased during the night. Better than it not working, though.

Overall, it was a great stay, and if we come back to Cardiff, we will definitely stay her again.

Room Tip: We stayed in 232, which did not have any sort of view. We didn't mind, but keep in mind that roo...

This hotel is better than most Premier Inn's due to it being relatively new, however it's reasonably priced on Non Rugby International Days and very clean and tidy.
Parking is great use the spaces under the premier inn as they are free but say ur staying in the apartments :)) happy days

Average stay, what you would expect of a Premier Inn and nothing more. Liked the 'Self Check In' procedure, it was fast and easy. Rooms were basic but spacious and and clean. Kept being woken up by the corridor door during the night, it was so loud! And a housekeeper walked in when we were sleeping in the morning!!! Not impressed! Wouldn't stay again because this put me off. Better value at the Holiday Inn.
