Absolutely superb salads
The food is so interesting
I have never tasted better salads anywhere
Then there are the daily papers ...tasty puddings ,great coffee etc
My wife and I enjoyed a meal in an expensive recommended restaurant in Pontcanna the night before which was significantly inferior to the meal at Kemi/s

Delicious chili cheese and salami quiche and side salad!! I'm a regular visitor!

The only qualm I have is that it is a little pricey for what you get.

Came with our 6 year old son and we all found something good to eat - after our Doctor Who Experience. My super salad was wonderful - loads of flavours and textures but not watery or too spicy. The sweet potatoes were a delight and the Coronation chicken was a real change from shop bought stuff. Forget what husband had but our son was in a picky, not quite sure what he wanted mood but delighted with the wrapped chocolate cake slice (we had to doggy bag part of it) he demolished as we lounged upstairs. Good place to unwind and Kemi and her staff are lovely. Thanks for the hint re the sweet potatoes and the chance to see the photos of Kemi showing school children about goo dcooking. We shall certainly come back even if we're not going round the Bay to indulge our own little Doctor Who.

We went to Kemi's' on the specific advice of fellow TripAdvisors because my favourite Light Lunch is quiche..and there was none available on the menu that day (a Monday)..tsk! However, the jacket potatoes and salads were scrummy and full of flavour, plus the (vegetarian) Glamorgan sausages voted 'delicious' by my doggedly carnivore husband! There was also a limited selection of cakes available so we passed on these. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly so would definitely try again on our next visit to the area.

Stumbled across this cafe whilst I was looking to shelter from the bitter cold of a February morning, and was pleasantly surprised. Situated just across from the Millennium Centre down on Cardiff Bay, Kemi's is a perfect place to spend half an hour relaxing. The quality of food is exceptional, and the hot chocolate certainly went down a treat.

The one thing that lets the cafe down is the quality of the seating - cheap plastic chairs don't lend themselves to a cafe of this standard, and makes it quite uncomfortable if you're there for more than 15mins. This is a minor point though, and certainly wouldn't put me off returning.
