I stayed here on a business trip to Cardiff and found sleeperz to be everything I needed in an inner-city hotel. The location is super useful - right next to the train staton. The staff are friendly, informative and easily arranged taxis and helped me book my flight. The rooms are clean, modern, airy and basic - which is always nice to come back to after working in cluttered offices!

We arrived via NX Coach and the hotel is almost on the door step of the bus station and the rail station so easy to find. The location is smack in the middle of the city. The reception staff were helpful but I found the checking in a bit confusing as they need my details although I was sharing a double room with my partner who booked the double room for two, she wanted my address same as my partner and my mobile number which I did not give as they had my partners. On entering the room it was very clean with every thing you need in a room kettle coffee tea etc. The shower is a wet room and when we used it, it does tend to fill the floor with water so don't put towels or cloths on the floor or they will be wet! The water soon drains when you have finished but don't have long showers or you will find water in the bedroom part of the room.
The bed was very comfy and we slept well. You can hear some noise from outside but you are in a city but this did not deflect from a good nights sleep.
We opted for the breakfast and there is the continental and cooked to have all very nice. We had an evening meal at the hotel just myself and my other half in the restaurant the food was great and reasonable priced.

Room Tip: Do not run the shower too fast or too long or you will flood the room.

You can't beat this hotel in terms of location: literally 30 seconds walk away from the train station; minutes away from the Millenium Stadium and the city centre shops/bars/restaurants.

The price too, is quite hard to beat although you do get a room as small as the price! The double room I had was very small with a small showeroom/wetroom squeezed in with a sliding glass door. However, tea-making facilities were included and there was hangers, a safe, TV and free wi-fi so can't really complain.

Breakfast was charged extra at £6.45 but was probably worth it. Nothing exceptional but totally acceptable.

My conclusion: great for solo travellers and those on a tight budget who don't mind sacrificing space for price but certainly not somewhere for couples looking for a romantic city break.

I recently stayed here for 3 nights while attending a conference in Cardiff. For travelers arriving and/or leaving by train, as I was, this hotel is perfectly located at a 2 min walk from the train station. I had a compact double which for one person was small but worked fine. The design of the room has everything you need but do not expect spacious if you choose the compact room. If I was traveling with my partner, it would have been wise to 'upgrade', especially for more than one night. The entire hotel is spotless and staff were welcoming and helpful. The only downsides were the noisy air conditioning/heating(?) in the room (was not on all the time but made a loud click/whirring noise when it came on), and I felt that the breakfast wasn't quite worth the price.

Room Tip: For couples I would not recommend the compact rooms - upgrade and give yourself more space.

I thought this hotel was rather expensive for what we were getting, but booked it because friends were staying there at the same time. It was like staying in a cross-channel ferry cabin! The room was ridiculously small, and make sure you know your room mate VVVEEERY well, because the loo is inches from the bed. It was nicely decorated inside the room, and they had done their best with a small space. But really I'd have preferred to pay a bit more and stay in a real room! Reception was fine, location was fine. You could really do better though, unless they lower their prices.

Didn't plan to stay here but had a problem with another booking - but what a cracking little hotel.

A friendly welcome at the small but very tidy reception, a small bar and eating area - if Apple did hotels it might look a bit like this. The room was looking out on the corner with bunk beds and a wet room shower room. Really well designed and great for a night. Didn't seem too noisy but I was out for the count anyway.
