After a visit to Caerphilly Castle, my husband, two kids and I stayed at the Premier Inn. Felt very welcomed by the receptionist. Thought it would have be a squeeze, but the room located on the ground floor was nicely sized for the four of us. Kids loved the big TV on the wall!! Had dinner in the next door Brewers Fayre and the kids much enjoyed the play area, so felt we didn't have to rush. When we went back to the room, the receptionist kindly got us some paper and crayons for the children, which was wonderful.

Working down in Caerphilly I have stayed in both premier inns in town and this is by far the better of the two. Well worth the extra money. Clean, friendly, everything you come to expect from a premier inn. One of the best in the chain. Breakfast is amazing! Not cheap at £8 but you will be back!

We stayed in the Disabled room. Janet (from desk) made us welcome & checked we had all we needed. Sadly, we missed her on our last day & could not thank her in person.
The room is well designed with one exception, the kettle has to be lifted with the hot water spout facing towards oneself (risk of scalding). We tried to turn it round - wires too short.
I tried my Vodafone WiFi, but v. poor EDGE signal; So bought the Hotel WiFi package. The hotel WiFi is very fast; but very often serves 'bad' DNS records. It proved impossible to get rid of these without flushing the PC local DNS Cache every few minutes..
On our last day, the towels were still wet and the bed hardly made-up. The bathroom floor had not been swept/mopped. A very defensive housekeeper (seemed to have been brow-beaten by oppressive manager?), said it was all our fault. She implements very literally the rule that towels not actually in the bath tub will be reused. She said 'I' made the bed; then it turned out that it was not done by 'the boy'.If this sounds like a clip from Fawlty Towers - it was but no cameras.

Room Tip: Room #2 is great (except for the Kettle risk)

Thank you for your recent response I have passed your feedback onto the team. Really pleased you enjoyed your stay.
With regards to the towels we at premier inn operate an enviromental policy but we will change them if your request but please bare in mind if you stay in a premier inn in future if you place your towels in the bath they will be replaced with clean towels. Hope to see you again in the future

I stayed just for one night after a wedding. Room was large and spacious on the first floor, bed was comfortable and we slept really well. Everything was clean, facilities were good and had both bath and shower. Breakfast in the attached pub was a little disorganised but the food was OK and good value.
Despite being on a roundbout in an industrial estate it was very quiet at night!
Stayed the next night in the Celtic Manor and really think the service was better here!!
Well done.

The hotel itself is as a Premier Inn would usually be, the restaurant on the other hand was pretty poor, we only ate there twice during a weeks stay. On the 2nd time we had to return my wifes meal as the mashed potatoe had more boulders in than the surrounding mountains and was drowned in gravey, I had the build a burger which is on a Wedneday night which I could not eat due to it being so dry and overcooked, Our children desserts never did arrive and the gents toilets had been trashed and remained that way throughout the duration of the evening.Tables were not cleaned and drink staines on the wall.
In saying that the manager was very apologetic and refunded the dessert, mine and my wives meals. A very poor restaurant. The area on the other hand was stunning, visit Dan YR Ogof caves extremely worth while.
