Stayed here for 4nights. Staff were friendly & helpful. Booked a smoking room which was on 1st floor as I'm disabled & there was no lift had to move to ground floor non-smoking room. Room was clean & tidy & bed very comfy. Walls are thin so found it very noisy especially from room above, they were stamping about late at night early in the morning & during the night. Told receptionist who said she would have a word. Have just received a £100 fine for parking in the car park. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay this is not the place to stay. Will defininately not be staying here again

Room Tip: Room at back furthest from reception/stairs

Spent 4 nights here for a trip exploring south wales. Room was clean and functional just what you expect from a motorway service hotel. Staff on front desk very welcoming and friendly.

Now the downside... we were on a bottom floor room with what can only be described as mr and mrs hob nailed boots above us... unfortunately the walls are quite thin and you can hear the dogs barking (yes its dog friendly) the kids running up and down the corridor, the loo's flushing next door and above.

Also the bathroom has a warning displayed stating that the water is not fit for drinking... there is a water fountain machine discreetly hidden around the corner from the reception whilst opposite reception is a fridge offering water for sale at £1 a throw... hmmm convenient placement there.

So if you sleep light you may want to consider ear plugs or staying elsewhere.

Nice little place, very quite but completely ruined by a letter received a few days after I got home, charging me a parking 'fine' of £100 for unauthorised use of hotel car park. After a few telephone calls & letters the fine was eventually cancelled but put me off ever staying there again.

Smiling and friendly staff, knowledgeable about the locality and local facilities. Room spacious, HD TV, tea, coffee and biscuits, comfortable bed, bathroom with bath and shower. Recommend for long or short stay.

We stayed here early in June as we had an early flight from Cardiff airport, 20-25 mins drive away. Normally we would look to stay at Travelodge's nearer the airport but due to the speedway thing, prices for the one night were £239, days inn £49 no contest, We were checked in by a very pleasant and efficient young lady, we had booked a smoking room and the room was spotless as was the bathroom, high end tea and coffee was available in the room with more at reception if required, The room was spacious and a nice touch included a trouser press, also included in the price was parking and Wi-Fi access.
We booked the room through booking. com and will certainly look for more Days Inns as the need arises. Easy access just off the M4, welcome break service area for food outlets if needed .

Room Tip: if anyone in the party smokes book a smoking room, non smokers should request a non smoking room to...

We recently stayed here for 1 night prior to competing in the wiggle dragon ride cycling event at the nearby margham country park. We were late booking accommodation and found everywhere unsurprisingly filling up quick, so it was a case of take what we could get. The hotel itself is what you would expect from a motorway services, a run of the mill clone of a 1000 other motorway hotels, which is fine, we weren't expecting the ritz! It was clean enough, the pull out bed, which my brother delighted in telling me half the night, was lumpy and uncomfortable, there was plenty of piping hot water blasting out off the shower which would have been tremendous had the shower head not been fixed at my eye level ( and I'm only 5'10") and the shower gel dispenser was empty! All of which I can happily laugh off but in a hotel which charged £80 for 2 people to stay 1 night I personally expect a bit better! ( I'm not certain but the price may have been hiked up a little due to the increased demand caused by nearly 5000 cyclists descending on the area)! On the plus side the room was large enough for us both to keep our bikes safe in overnight and the staff were happy for us to bring them in! And the location was ideal for our early start at margham park.
