Good facilities, great little cafe, lovely walks for the whole family, but the park could do with a bit of updating.

great open spaces for the children to enjoy and they have events all year around, such as music in the park and children's activities

There is car parking fees during holidays and weekends, park in the village and walk up.

we used to love taking the kids to this park for a wander in the woods and spend an hour or so in the playpark, but when we visited recently we were disappointed. my husband has mobility issues since he had a stroke last year and has to rely on a motorised scooter to get around outdoors.
we found it very difficult to access most areas of the park, the worst being the children's play park as the path up to it ran out halfway up the hill and my husband had to sit and watch the kids playing in the distance.
the playpark itself is in need of some desperate tlc as the equipment and benches are rotting away.
the new cafe is an improvement (and the staff there are just lovely) but the park as a whole needs a lot of work. we'll be visiting gnoll park in neath from now on as it's much more disabled-friendly.

We booked this for our office Christmas Party. The meal (quality and quantity) was excellent and one of the best I have had on a work function. The evening disco was good although our room was small and it was hard to whip up an atmosphere with just our group and one other group at another table. nonetheless, a great night with great food and fantastic value for money.

We do not go to the park in school holidays and in the summer due to the £2.50 car parking charges. It is however a fabulous area and well worth a visit, Planning a wedding a first class venue.
